I had the intermittent red brake light that came on and activated the ABS brakes on my 2004 Nissan Titan 4x4 Crew Cab SE with vehicle dynamic control and 133,000 miles. I had replaced the brake booster with a remanufactured brake booster that did not fix the issue. I replaced these Genuine factory sensors along with a Genuine factory brake booster after being plagued with the brake light ABS issue for 9 months and now the issue is finally fixed.

I was getting all the ABS Slip and Speedo/RPM not working errors. This was a fix. When I replaced, I noticed that one of the old sensors had no brake fluid in it. This might have been the cause, but just replaced both and cleared the errors and it fixed the issue. One other thought, if you have Intelligent Cruise Control in your Nissan, the radar (ICC) on the front bumper is not working and can be sending lots of errors out to the control unit and could contribute to the problem. Something I will be watching for if the errors come back. The bottom line, (I think), is a brake fluid issue that can be complicated by bad wheel bearing(and the sensors on them). Keep the brake fluid level at max too.

This is the brake pressure sensor. It screws into the brake master cylinder. There are two in the package. I had done enough research to know what I needed. This item worked perfectly. The discription is weak.

Genuine Nissan parts, 2 per package, arrived quickly and fixed an intermittent and long ongoing problem I had with the VDC & Slip lights coming on in my 2006 Xterra Off-Road. Easy to replace: You'll need a 27mm Deep Socket and paper towels/rags to catch the little bit of brake fluid that will leak out. Just unplug the wiring clips from the two sensors, remove the sensors with the 27mm socket and then install the new sensors in the reverse order. On my Xterra, I didn't need to bleed the brakes--just pumped up the brake pedal and the pedal stiffened right up, but you may need to, so TEST YOUR BRAKES before driving off--if you don't get brake pedal pressure, bleed them.

I was plagued for too long by intermittent brake light coming on and my brakes acting like ABS kicked in. Finally found a thread about replacing these to fix the problem dealers didn't know. Took ten minutes for me to install and haven't had that problem since. So far so good!

This solved my false "Slip" messages that kept showing up on the dash at random moments. Easy to install. A small amount of brake fluid will drip out when you remove the old sensors. Do them one at a time and keep a shop towel under the master cylinder when swapping them out. Pretty easy fix.

I would avoid these and purchase from dealer. Order and only received one of the two sensor, which wasn't a huge deal as the issue was quickly solved, but these sensor barely lasted 2 yrs in my Titan before failing. At $150, I expected better quality.
