The door on my GE dish washer would fall down. It seemed that the spring was broken. A repair person wanted to charge me $300 to fix. I noticed that the hinge arm was broken not the spring. Why GE made this part plastic makes no sense when everything else is metal. This becomes the weakest link. I looked up the part on the internet, ordered it and installed it in about 15 minutes and saved $300!
