I mean it's a pretty standard power outlet, nothing special.

This seems to be a pretty cheap, lower quality item, possibly made just for the online market? It is not the quality I expected from a GE product. It was also difficult to install. The wires were really hard to insert into the "push in connections" and then not tight once inserted. When I used them and turned the power back on, the outlet did not work. I ended up using the screw connectors instead.

The big box hardware stores only similar cheap replacements to the outlets installed by the contractor who built my house. I would rather spend a little more and use these replacements. Buy these and be done with it.

working as expected, solved a problem in my shop, handle shop lighting just fine. I'm only using these with 14 gauge wiring, for switched overhead lighting. they work as expected, look nice, have nice solid positive contact. Overall, I can't tell the difference between these and a somewhat more common brand I've purchased recently. Presumably they all use the same dies or injection molders, hard to say. No matter, I'm happy with them, they meet all the sizes they are supposed to.
