This unit is basically fine but - if you have a new MacBook you’ll find that the sides of the shelf are just a SMIDGE too high and interfere with cables going to your usb c ports. To fix this, I bought some small foam pads with adhesive backing. They lift the MacBook up about 1/4” and still keep it from sliding.

After a few uses it is difficult to get it to stay in the position you need. I have lost some confidence in using it professsionally.

I use this for my Studio. I have my 15” MacBook Pro and it’s Not totally secured. If you’re running a smaller MacBook then it’ll be perfect.

This stand is almost exactly what I want/need. Good price. Perfect size (except the complain below). It looks nice. Easy to put together. It is sturdy and well made. The problem is that the tray has no gaps to run a power cable. I have a 15" MacBook Pro that fits perfectly within this tray (with a couple mm of gap), but the MacBook has USB power charging that connects on the side, and since the MacBook is thin (basically the same depth as this tray), it sits right into the tray with no way for the power cord to connect 'inside' the tray and plug into the MacBook. The only way around this is to sit a book in the tray and then sit the MacBook on top of the book; which is a bother. If there were some gaps cut into the sides of the tray (in the right places) then I could run a power cable through that and plug it in to the MacBook. So, instead, there is a "Heavy Duty" version of this Gator stand (the Deluxe is twice the price of this one...) that I'm order to see if that works out better. Looking at the dimensions, the tray is bigger, so at least I should be able to fit a MacBook and power cord, but it also has gaps in the sides of the tray to work with.

Came with no instructions but was able to figure it out. Be sure to check your box for a 'brake insert piece' that may have fallen it. It has to go in the main part where the screw tightens. Also for the top piece you need to unscrew the support completely, then put it in and make sure it goes in all the way otherwise won't be secure.

My 2021 14" MacBook Pro fits perfect on this stand. The height adjustments are just what I needed. Folds up nice for portability.

Works great, Very sturdy. Typical Gator Frameworks quality. Platform is thick gauge steel and come with a good anti slip pad to stick on it after you attach it to the stand. Hardware is solid and holds everything well. I have also attached 2 clamp on trays under the platform and it is still very stable. Using it for my Acoustic Guitar Rig. It holds my MacBook on top, a 2X USB Interface on one tray and a small Monitor Mixer on the next tray and it feels solid. Well worth the price. My only wish is that the top platform was a tad bigger so I could toss my phone or wallet on it next to my laptop but I had dimensions going into it so it is what it is. Also I would like it if the raised edges of the platform were a bit taller. once you put the anti skid pad on it there isn't much of a lip on it anymore and holding an iPad or laptop on on angle seems a bit sketchy.

The set screw seems weak, otherwise overall a solid piece.
