I was hesitant to buy this because of the price but there are very limited choices for antique/vintage looking Ring doorbell covers that aren't silicone. None of the silicone or plastic cover that came with the doorbell looked nice in our old house, so I jumped the gun and ordered it. It did not disappoint! First of all: it is heavy and supposedly made of brass (i'm no expert in confirming this) - definitely not plastic. Second, it is beautiful and elegant. Third, it works on top of the original doorbell cover (ours is a Ring Pro). And lastly, it just doesn't cover the ringer but also the sides and the screw that comes with the original doorbell for the cover/battery works perfectly. Note that this does not come with its own screw so you need to use the one that came with your camera. If you need to have the conveniences and security of a modern Ring doorbell but would like it to look nice, check out this line of Ring covers. I did say it was pricey but in the end, quality trumps it all.
