I wanted a hand pump for my sphygmanometer that would be easier to use and squeeze than what I have. The hand pump works perfectly for that and attached easily but I with the bulb was a little larger so I didn’t have to squish so many times to pump the cuff up.If you are using it for a football helmet or ball, I think it would work fine. It includes the inflating needle as well. I especially like the cheap price.

The HappyAlley Football Helmet Pump Kit is exactly what I needed. It’s a good quality, portable inflator that works quickly and efficiently. The pump feels sturdy in hand, and the included release valve and lubricant are thoughtful additions that make the job smoother and help maintain the helmet's inner air bladder over time. It’s compatible with multiple helmet types, not just football, which is a big plus. Easy to use, easy to carry, and gets the pressure just right without overinflating. Whether you're a coach, parent, or player, this kit is a smart buy.Great little tool to have in your gear bag! 🏈💨

I like this very portable and stowable inflator that requires no batteries. It's designed and marketed for inflating football helmets. Yet because it uses a universal sports ball needle I am using it for inflating boat fenders and beach balls. It is wonderfully low tech and doesn't need recharging or swapping out leaking dead batteries.

As a coach, one of my big responsibilities is player safety. Making sure that helmets are snug and fit right is a big part of that. This is going to be a critical tool that we use to make sure everyone is safe and able to have secure fitting equipment!

Ok, so I got this in an act of desperation that has nothing to do with a football helmet and it properly saved my bacon. I'm keeping this in my glove compartment now. First the deets, then I'll tell you how I used this. This thing is basically the hand pump from a sphygmomanometer with a 12" length of rubber hose attaching it to a standard inflation needle like you'd use to pump up any sportsball. There's not really much to it. Super easy to use. Now, how it saved the day: I have an old Mercedes sedan that uses an electric combination vacuum/pressure pump to actuate door & trunk locks, among other things. These wear out over time and can't produce the pressure required to unlock things. While I was rebuilding the pump on my workbench, my kid's d*ckhead cat jumped on the open trunklid and shut it, with my car keys inside. It was a catch-22. Even if I put the pump back in the car to unlock it, the fuse for the pump was in the trunk so it wouldn't work. Noting the inner diameter of the vacuum line going to the trunk, I realized I could rig up some kind of external pressure source and this looked like a perfect fit. 24 hours later, I had it in hand. Inserted the needle into the proper vacuum line, a little electrical tape to make a seal, and 5 pumps later, my trunk was unlocked. For other vintage Mercedes owners out there, this will work on any car with a PSE pump (and soft close pumps on the 90s cars). I'm keeping this in my glove compartment now and getting another one for the toolbox. Lifesaver.I'm sure it'll work fine for pumping up the liners in football helmets. I have no idea what the little bottle of lube is for unless it's necessary for the needle to go into football helmets. There are zero instructions in the box.

This HappyAlley brand football helmet pump kit works as expected. A very nice inclusion is the bottle of needle lubricant. No instructions were included, and I don't yet have the helmet, but I'm assuming you just pump in enough air so the helmet is snug and comfortable. If the player's eyes start to bulge you've gone too far.You could use this kit to pump up the football, or other sports balls, which, in that case a pressure gauge would be a very nice addition. We used to lube the ball needle with spit, but I guess that's now considered unsanitary.Anyway, the parts are well made and this should be durable and long lasting. I like it.
