Perfect little mat. I say little but it's just the right size. It's big enough to model large life-size flowers such as orchids or wild roses. But it's not so big that it's cumbersome.I'm actually using it for shaping polymer clay flowers. It works great for that. I've worked fondant before and this is perfect for that as well.The foam is dense enough to provide the resistance needed when shaping petals with the tools, mainly a ball tool.The different hole sizes are very convenient.

This is a handy, inexpensive tool to have for making fondant flowers. It is a good size, large enough for big flowers but not too big that it’s clumsy. The varied size holes are a nice idea to make a deeper throat on flowers. It’s firm enough but with enough give to allow for ruffling the edges of petals. Cleans up easily.
