I was on the fence buying this due to the horror stories people say with shadows being left behind after cleaning it. I can say this board is PERFECT and no shadows left behind when using the following chalk markers with it: "Zenacolor Liquid Chalk Markers Dual Tips" and cleaning it was a baby wipe. Looks brand new again and should last a few years!

These are not flimsy, have a sturdy frame and a sturdy chalkboard weight to them. Chalk pens wipe right off with a little bit of water and towel. The spaces are big enough to be able to write easily.

Love this board. Chalkola markers work great with this board, they dont linger when cleaned, and wipe well. Only con- the frame is not as sturdy. Especially for being front/back, and something I plan to use for both children, I will have to 'baby' this item, and be careful that I don't put anything too heavy on top of it. I see some hot glue in the future, perhaps holding it together. But overall, it 's a very cute board, looks full when completely filled out, love the graphics/fonts, and like the design.

The only downside is that it doesn’t come with a way to hang it around the student’s neck. When holding it, it had to be held awkwardly so his fingers didn’t cover the text, but still worth 5 stars! We used liquid chalk markers, I’m not sure how normal chalk would clean up, but I’m assuming just as easy as the liquid ones were.Very happy with purchase!
