Folding hangers still have a role in offices where you just can't get rid of the paper. We sometimes find ourselves drifting away from the systems for employee payroll, fliers, receipts, permits and such. This organizer lets you see what's there and that is an advantage for high priority items. Multiple colors helps organize too.We took special care in tightening up the screws. It is possible to crack acrylic and with the design being two wall a single crack puts everything at risk. It should be ok going forward and feels ok though.

I should have looked at it more closely before ordering. It's easy to mistake with clear acrylic items. I thought this file box was enclosed on the sides and possibly the bottom. It isn't, it's a pair of clear acrylic panels on the front and back, connected by metal rods. A little pricey at over $50 and not very practical. You can't put it on a shelf where it would overhang at the front, because there's no flat bottom for it to rest on. You can't squeeze it in between other items on a shelf, because items on the side would interfere with the hanging folders or their hooks. It pretty much has to be free-standing on a desk or table, or on a shelf that's at least 11 inches deep.The good stuff about it--it does look nice! It's wide enough for legal sized paper. There are no assembly instructions, but they are not needed, it's simple as pie, screw the rods to the boxes, and the screwdriver is included. It comes with hanging file folders in light gray, purple, orange and green, all bright and nice-looking, with clear plastic tabs that can be clipped into various positions on the folder and labels that insert into them. Loaded down with paper, it's still pretty easy to lift and move, though obviously, it's not built for a lot of rugged durability. (Not like you're going to take it on a camping trip, though, right?) It arrived well packed, with thick protective coating on both sides of the acrylic panels.If you have no space concerns and need a file for legal-sized papers, this could be a great solution for you. For our crowded shelves, it's not a good choice.

I ordered this because I have a smaller acrylic file box that I really like but it doesn't hold many files. I thought this was nearly identical but larger. The description indicates that it holds letter/legal files but it looks like it's designed for legal files. If there was a way to hang the files in the other direction then maybe this could hold letter size files but that seems impractical given the dip on both sides where the folders would need to hang. Also, this isn't a true file box. There are only two 'sides' and they're connected by the silver rods. The bottom and two of the sides are open. It's nice looking but not ideal if you ever have to move all your files at once.

I had to assemble the pieces together but it was pretty easy and the package came with tools. I was surprised that it came with so many folders as well. And the package also included helpful labels that I can put on the folders. The overall hanging folder organizer is sturdy enough and big enough and is very practical.

This is not a file BOX. This is used to hold file folders BUT it only has a front and back where the cut out handles are. There aren’t any sides or bottom! The description states it’s a file BOX. It is NOT.So if moving this from one place of the office to another you better be very, very careful because one wrong move and everything can slip out of the sides of the folders falling to the floor. This is a horrible design. And way overpriced for half a box.Don’t waste your money.Had I known this wasn’t an actual file BOX I wouldn’t have ordered it. The description and headline of this needs to be changed, this is very deceptive and a cheap way to make this product.
