This is not a direct replacement for the Dometic Penguin II fan motor. The two mounting holes do not line up with the motor mounts and you will have to modify it to make it fit. The motor leads are also too short. They will reach the control board and capacitor if you pull them very tight, but in my opinion, that’s just asking for trouble in the future. I ended up butt spicing all five of them with the existing wires. The ground wire from the motor will absolutely have to be extended because it does not reach.I’ve read the other reviews and they seem to have the same problem so I don’t know how long until they make the necessary corrections for this fan motor.It’s only been 24 hours, but so far it seems to be running fine.

First, I received the motor a day early, which gave me a great day to install. Exact replacement for half the price of other vendors. The ground wire was shorter than original, but just moved it on the other side , where the screw came in the same hole, but from the other side. The rest of installation was relatively easy, just take the old one out and put the new one in.

Motor was delieverd before date stated. Not sure who sent early but thank you very much. Got me out of a bind. It came exactly as described. Only had to wallow out bolt holes and add 3 inches to ground wire. Exactly as it stats in comment area. Thank you again for prompt service.Chris

The measurement between the two mounting brackets is 6 1/4" and on my unit it needed to be 6 1/2" so I had to enlarge the holes to allow for the extra room that I needed to allow fitment. I would suggest they use elongated holes in the future to prevent others from running into this issue. Also I would recommend they use a couple more inches of wire on their pigtails especially the ground wire I had to add wire to it to reach the location it was attached to originally. All the other measurements were dead on and the motor was well packed and arrived in good shape and on time. Two easy fixes and this would have been a 5 star review.

This fan motor fits the older Dometic AC units (Brisk Air and Penguin).These older models use two attachment points on the lower front and a single long stud on the bottom rear of the motor.This motor has those mounts and costs twice as much as the newer version.The problem is this motor is slightly smaller in diameter. This makes it difficult to line up the front two mount holes. We made it fit, but that should have been done at the factory.The other problem (minor) is the ground wire on this motor is about 1" too short. We had to crimp on an extra few inches of wire.Advice: When you change out the motor also change out the capacitor.

Was a easy install except for getting my fans off the old motor a exact fit but the mounting holes were off a little but made adjustments so far it's working great the reason for 4 star is the adjustment to the mounting holes
