I like the look of this. Got this mainly to hide the garden hose and handle from my dog as he likes to pull on it and chew the Handel. So this product works perfect for my need! And my girls like the turtle look.

I use a 75 foot light weight hose to power off windows. This is a cute way to protect and store the hose.

It blends in with my garden landscaping. I bring it in in the winter and I’ve had it about 5 years. The inside plastic that holds the reel/hose isn’t holding up well, but I’m thinking I can tweak it, so I can keep using it. Outside toad/frog looks completely original and hasn’t faded a bit! Expandable hose works better than non-expandable because you can use a longer hose.

While I really wanted this to work it doesn’t for the price. 🥺 way cheaper than it looked online.I can’t imagine this will last through the summer… even if I repaint it so it doesn’t look so cheap it’s just not going to last in the sun, rain, snow. If it were half the price I might keep it as yard art under a bush and buy a new one when this crumbles, but I actually need a hose bin and thus just won’t work for that.It is a cute shape and I love the giant toad look… so disappointed.Paint is scuffed as it has no protection inside its cardboard box. And the paint is just smeared on turquoise paint over black plastic to make it look like patina, but it just looks cheap.Save the hassle and look somewhere else, unless you don’t actually need a hose reel, don’t mind having to repaint it and don’t want/expect it for more than about 6 months (at most).I have a very nice copper bin in my front yard that is actual metal that I got at Costco for half this price… wish I’d gotten two of those…

When I opened the box, the mouth part of the frog was broken -- it's built as a separate piece and attached with three screws, and they did this in a very fragile way. Considering the pain that it is just to return and get a new item, especially with something so large, I talked to Amazon and they were kind enough to offer me a discount, as I thought I would be able to glue it back together. Using some epoxy and superglue, I think I put it back together in a stronger way than the original. So that was a disappointment with resolution, but overall this is just NOT a good product. I set it all up and turned on the hose -- only to find all the water leaking from underneath. I found out that the TINY plastic nozzle where the incoming hose attaches had broken off, and I did not drop it, nor was I in any way rough with it. I have pictures of this part, and will attach them. I was able to extract the broken part from the incoming hose, and reattach it to the portion of the nozzle still remaining.Next up, I have to gripe about the anchors intended to keep it in place. They are weak, tiny slivers that have NO hope of securing this thing in place. I happened to have an anchor on hand that you use a drill to put in, so for one of them I used that. Finally, the handle of the hose reel just FALLS OFF as you're using it. Everything about this is cheap and flimsy. Sad, but I'm keeping it because it took me about 2.5 hours to install it. Very disappointed.

I love the fact that it is cute and not some ugly box in my yard. I love it except there are a few things that would make this product awesome sauce.1. the hose hook up should be on the bottom of the roller so it does not mess with the hose when reeling it in.2. should have a hole in the front where the hose comes out easily when pulled and rolls up easily when reeling. (Don't like the fact that I have to open the top every time I want to use it and leave it open.3. Use better cement glue when attaching the pcv.

On the whole, we love this guy. He's a festive addition to the yard, and he holds our 100 ft hose easily. Much more fun than the other hose jars I was looking at. The greenish resin looks nice.Only one issue: the drainage holes in the bottom are not sufficient. You will need to drill more in the outer part of the base, otherwise this becomes a mosquito (and spider) breeding ground. This is easy to do, but this should be part of the design.I'm also not sure why there are two large rectangular holes on the rear side of his shell...they don't seem to do anything other than let the rain seep in...which isn't an issue if you've drilled extra drainage holes, but I think the product would look and function better without them.

Present for my better half and it hides a hundred feet of garden hose so well, plus she likes showing it off to her friends.
