The fact that there was only one pump wasn't an issue with me. I had a feeling it was only one based on the photos and description even though it wasn't crystal clear that it was one handsfree pump. I breastfeed half the time and am always looking for ways to catch the letdown on the other side so I would definitely been able to use this I've tried all sorts of manual pumps and the challenge is always the baby kicking it off. That's why I was somewhat excited about this regardless of if it was one pump or two. Having a pump I can simply put in my bra eliminates the fear of something falling off and my losing any milk.My problem is that no matter what I did, I couldn't get it to work right I sterilized the pieces, fully dried them and put the pump together and took it apart half a dozen times before giving up and seeing if I could get anything out.I could feel suction but it was never strong, even at level 12. Because it comes with a large flange to accommodate more nipple sizes (I appreciate this) and then inserts in 24 and 20, I had to use the 24 insert plus another one to get the sizing right and I wonder if that second insert caused a reduction in suction, but without a second insert I have trouble as well because the flange is simply too large for me. I tried a 10m pump on the side I didn't feed on and tried to get as much suction as I could. It resulted in such a small amount that it was a waste of time. I pumped with another pump immediately after and was able to get much more, although it was still a fairly small amount.I know it works well for others and it might be a me problem, but it just didn't work for me. I'll keep trying and update if I'm ever able to get any suction and a better output.

This is a nice pump although I wish I read more carefully because I thought this was a set but it is a single pump so does look uneven under a top (if you plan to try to pump at work or out and about) and you will have to dump out the milk then switch breasts; I may end up buying one more to I can have a set and pump both breasts at the same time. I’ve yet to try to pumping while baby is latched but I’m sure I could. It is very quiet as well which is appreciated. The flange inside is very smooth and comfortable overall I’m please with this and the performance. It is nice not being attached to the wall and cords to pump!

This portable pump works great. The small motor is surprisingly really strong. The suction is great and my output is the same with my other pumps. The battery lasts me about 6-7 sessions using it on one side while my baby nurses on the other. It’s easy to clean. It doesn’t leak.
