My pleated filter was getting plugged with sawdust daily. This sock allows a quick shake of the vacuum and all the dust falls off. Should have ordered sooner.

At $20 each you want to extend the life of your filters. Theses act as a pre filter and when your vacuum is full empty it remove the filter cover shake it off wash it in COLD water and hang dry. NEVER PUT IN THE DRYER!!!

Feels soft like a kind of microfiber. I like that it does stop a lot of dust but it still allowed my new filter to look 10 years old after the first use for both.Maybe it was the expensive but ineffective filter but either way this cover does not stay up with the elastic included in the cover so a lot of dust gets through to the filter.

I did some major house cleaning and used the vacuum to clean everything instead of sweeping. I cleaned some upper shelves that hadn't been done in a while that had a lot of dust. By the time I was done this filter had at at least a quarter inch of dust all around it. I had to scrape it off onto the trash before removing it from the filter. The filter underneath looked brand new. It didn't look like even a speck of dust was on it. I was actually shocked to see how well it worked. I washed this cover by hand in the sink and put it back on again. I have done a lot of reviews for other products I have purchased, but this is, by far, the best product I have ever purchased. If I could give it 10 stars I would. You will not be disappointed.
