This guitar is fantastic! It reminds me of the old days when I had my Gh3 guitar and that one worked so well and felt so comfortable playing with it. This a perfect guitar if you are looking to play casually or even if you are looking to hit every note on a song. This guitar has those capabilities. Strongly recommend.

Ordered with mixed views as to if you will get a working one. It connects to my pc fine, but the buttons on the neck of the guitar don't work/register. Instead of showing as a guitar/Bluetooth device. It shows as an Xbox controler and won't allow my to rebind the buttons on the neck via in game (clone hero) keybinds

I am a streamer, hoping this would be amazing for my content creation, however, about a week of use, the connection was terrible from the controller and USB drive. There is no slot to hardwire the controller either directly to console or PC. All it does now is when I play, it'll believe that I'm still holding the buttons down, but actually I'm tapping like crazy for a guitar hero solo

First off, this controller utilizes a back door into the controller mapping by actually using keyboard inputs. This means that if you’re playing clone hero it can only be used in Player 1’s slot, meaning you couldn’t use two at the same time. Not an issue for most, but good to know if you already use a controller that is mapped to the keyboard.Overall great build quality; it feels heavy in a good way. The Bluetooth had very little latency in my experience and the Receiver is of good build quality as well. This led to pretty solid performance overall while playing. The buttons feel good and seem sturdy, as does the strum bar.It is a wireless controller so there is no cord length to deal with.

I was very skeptical about buying this bc of the reviews but for the price I just had to see for my self, I was mostly seeing issues with mapping buttons or disconnecting while playing or while trying to activate star power. Well y’all must be throwing this joker into the wall or something because both my girlfriend and I have tried to make it disconnect and it refuses. Second the mapping of the buttons, i can see where some could get confused because it doesn’t tell me that the controller (guitar) is connected, all i simply did was map the guitar to the keyboard controls instead of the controller section. Third, if your a hard/expert player like my self that likes metallica, and other really hard bands you might feel like you went through the most intense physical therapy session in your life, due to how stiff the buttons are at first but luckily they ease up over time or if your a player that changes out buttons this won’t be an issue for you. Hopefully this review will help you in finding an affordable but yet effective guitar! I will definitely be buying another in the future!

I got my product, and it just does not turn on. No power at all. Tried rechargeable batteries and brand new batteries. Do not recommend this product (check the other reviews too).

Controller worked great, the Whammy bar works and so tilting for Star Power. It's strange that the buttons on the controller are bound to keyboard keys, and this is why I wouldn't give it a 5 star.Green is "V", Red is "C", Yellow is "X", Blue is "Z" and Orange is "Left Shift".What ends up happening then, is pressing orange too many times will activate the "sticky keys" popup.Playing with the guitar will sometimes cause overlays to pop up because Orange was bound to shift which is a common key for overlay popups.Definitely think it would have been a lot better to bind the keys to asdfg. Also beware, the instructions mention that using a second guitar requires a change of settings, but this change makes it so that the strum bar is not supported in guitar hero. Really strange, so beware if you plan to buy 2 or use this controller for a second player. The controller says it has a separate mode for Rock band, and Guitar hero. I'm not sure why you would need two separate modes for that.

Set up was simple on Clone Hero on my Macbook. During my first song using the controller, I noticed the green fret wasn’t registering depending on how I hold the guitar. The connection for the neck and body is similar to the PS2 GH3 Kramer guitars, which also had a similar issue. The fix for that back in the day was to stuff a piece of paper between the back of the neck and the body, so I did that and it fixed the issue. During gameplay I noticed that the frets were heavier than I would prefer. There’s a modification going around on YouTube that shows you can cut into the silicone to make the frets lighter, however I’m refraining on trying this modification until after the return date. I’m not going to be harsh on this product because its one of the last affordable controller options we have in the community and I don’t this product to be discontinued. In conclusion, this has potential to be great for modifications for those not wanting to mod their discontinued guitar hero controllers. I might buy a couple more, depending on how this one holds up. I plan on doing performance modifications and customization on the faceplate.
