The hose itself is a good fit on my truck but the black plastic clip that goes onto the heater core (the one that clips in place and will receive the hose) does not fit. It was much too tight. I started sanding out the inside diameter to make it fit but the plastic is very thin and brittle and I decided to just use the white clip clip off the Dorman heater hose connector kit (800-404). Both are Dorman. Why the black clip doesn't fit is a mystery but you may need to spend extra on the connector kit to get a satisfactory configuration. Still grateful they make these parts at all.

Perfect Fit for my 1997 Ford F-150, but the OE hose was a royal pain to get off.I watched a few videos on Youtube on how to remove the OE hoses, but none of those techniques worked until I watched a heater core removal by realfixesrealfast. He demonstrated a tool specifically designed to remove the Ford Quick Connect (Not So Quick Disconnect) hoses, and I will probably get that tool since I have several Fords with these type of heater hoses. He demonstrated how this tool releases the connector and I improvised with a right-angled needle nose pliers. This still was a 2 handed blind job, with the pliers, but it worked.

I blew the left heater hose on my 97 f150 and I can guarantee this one is a direct replacement and believe me I kept buying the wrong ones lol
