These hoses are missing a critical O-ring that seals them to the oil filter adapter housing.Mine also contained aluminum shavings inside the tube when I pulled the factory plugs off.Be sure you run solvent and compressed air to these lines before installation. Otherwise you may have aluminum shavings get into your bearings and destroy your engine!The needed seal is GM part number 00463015 and can be found on Amazon.

Line was just slightly oversized to fit into the quick adapter at oil filter. Fought with it for two days. Replaced it with one from NAPA and it clicked in on first try. Not the usual quality I expect from Dorman. Made overseas.

The seals are evidently lacking, change them before install. Leaked as soon as I fired engine up. So frustrating! Yes I lubed seals prior to install and I'm always careful with my new 5.7 repairs.

Great product for a great price. Do yourself a favor and just buy the knuckles that go to the oil cooler. My lines weren't changed for a while so the o ring inside was hard and the quick release was very difficult to remove. For 12$ you can buy both knuckles that have o rings and quick connects installed then just screw them in.

I have painstakingly installed three different hoses on my vehicle, all three lasted a little over a month. Since this is outside Amazon's return policy (even with the lifetime warranty) you will just be dumping money away with this part. Go to your local auto parts store, you'll pay a couple extra bucks, but it'll be the last time you have to pay for the part.
