Why did you pick this product vs others?:This digital antenna is small but mighty! My old antenna only picked up about 40 channels. This antenna picked up 72. It got better reception when I put it in the window. I'm guessing it might be less interference from other signals in my house that it works better in the window. It is smaller than expected but works better than the larger ones I have on my other tvs.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I ordered this antenna because I wanted to add more live TV channels for viewing. I also liked the small size, and long cord. The magnetic base allows it to be placed at different angles to search for better reception. This one is black with a blue strip around it. It was super easy to set up. Just screw it into the TV antenna area. I'm using mine on an outdoor patio TV. The item is functional with good quality. The price is phenomenal. See image.

I feel like I wasted a pick. This does not pick up any channels. It is basically a paper weight. It looks nice, easy to install cable length is super short, you don't have enough to put it outside. its good value for the money if you don't live in the country and it can actually pick up channels but then you wouldn't need it if you live in the city I don't think.

First, let's get this out of the way: the '250-mile range' claim is marketing nonsense. Due to the curvature of the Earth, the maximum range for this type of line-of-sight antenna is realistically about 80 miles. You'll see others claiming 500 or even 1500 miles; this is physically impossible for this technology.Having said that, I am still giving this antenna a full 5 stars. Why? Because it performs its actual job incredibly well, comes at a fantastic price, and has some genuinely useful features. My old antenna pulled in 42 channels, and even then, I was constantly having to adjust its direction to get certain channels to work, which would often mess up the reception on others. Even perfectly aimed, some channels would still break up. After plugging this new antenna in, I did a new scan and immediately got 69 channels—all of them crystal clear with no signal degradation. The best part is that this antenna is truly omni-directional. I just stood it on the entertainment center, and it worked perfectly. There was no time wasted trying to find the 'sweet spot.' It just works.Another excellent feature is its magnetic base. It comes with a small metal plate you can nail to a wall, and the antenna sticks to it with a surprisingly strong magnetic force. I have a metal pegboard on my desk, and it attaches to it securely. This is a very convenient and versatile mounting feature. So, ignore the impossible mileage claims you see on all these antennas. For its real-world performance, its ease of use, and a price that's less than a hamburger, this antenna is as good as it gets. It's a fantastic value, and I highly recommend it.

Tested connected directly to our "smart" TV. Most online guides reported that there are 4 channels available in our area but with weak signals. I could not find any channels with the antenna in the house regardless of how high I positioned it. I then connected it to another cable and positioned it outside but still could not find any channels. Finally I threw it over a tall bush on the side of the house where I expected a signal might be coming from and it then reported that it found 17 channels. A few of the channels were a bit fuzzy but all were viewable and had good audio. If I were to use it then I'd either have to run an extra cable to it in order to position it outdoors (the box does say it is an "Indoor & Outdoor HDTV Antenna") or perhaps use an external amplifier (not included). Results of course will vary depending upon how far you are from stations (closest one to me is about 50 miles away).

I ditched cable a while ago and try to keep the streaming subscriptions to a minimal. So I ordered a powered/amplified antenna, and it was "lost in transit." So I went online to get a "cheapie" (this one) while I waited for the other one (which never arrived). I hooked this up - easy peasy, just screw the coax onto the terminal. No USB to plug in since it's not powered. I had my TV scan for air signals, and it came out with - 96 channels!!! Way more than I had expected. I don't live far from the city, but still didn't think I'd get almost 100 channels for free! The picture is crystal clear. Some channels, it takes about 3 seconds for the signal to prime, so the images are boxy for literally no more than a few seconds, and then crystal clear. The ONLY downside here is that you can't get a "guide" to tell you what's on what channel. I plan on creating my own list of what the channels are.My TV in particular (an LG) combines air signal TV channels with LG channels for a seamless transition between the two. So I go to channels, it plays the air channels first, and then seamlessly goes right into LG channels.Overall, I definitely would recommend this! For the price point, well worth the money to ditch cable while getting basic cable at zero cost. Great signal strength, clear picture. I ordered the blue one (it's just a blue stripe on a black device, not entirely blue), but I wish I'd have ordered the all-black because it would fit in better with my equipment. But that's only aesthetics that I can deal with, since this antenna worked so well for me and will save me a bunch of money in the long run.
