Apparently have marginal quality control. I have purchased 3 of these in the last two years and they all measure differently. The first was 62 ohms, the second 48 ohms, and the third 92 (!)ohms. At 120V/250W the calculated resistance is 57.6 ohms. I thought maybe the 3rd was the wrong unit but the P/N on the package was the same as the other two.

I havve several cartridge heating eleents and none have as yet failed. I use them in 100-212 F heat range.Three cautions, this element is slightly thinner than the 6mm spec so if it's going in a metal plate some thermal grease may be necessary, a PID or some sort of heat control (Ink Bird) is necessary and I have no idea if it's water or fluid proof.

I use this for melting unwanted ice. Seems waterproof and I run lower DC voltage to it to control temp, 20 VDC in my case. Seems like a solid good quality heating element.
