Application
This heating Element is great for use heating water in domestic hot water cylinders or water tanks in caravans, boats, workshops etc. Can also be used with waste vegetable oil in the the manufacture of biodiesel, and for home brewing etc.

Installed like you would expect and works great. Due to increased surface area the water heater heats much more quickly. I highly recommend over single layer elements

This element fit my water distiller and is performing well. Will update this review if it fails prematurely. I needed to add a spacer to the wiring cover because this element's contact side was slightly taller that the OEM element, but was an easy mod to make it useable at a much better price.

The positive/negative contacts came broken or not connected. Solder didn't stick. Maybe one day I'll weld it. Amazon referred me to seller. Seller referred me to Amazon. Nothing was done.

I had a ground fault problem we traced to the water heater element in our Formula and we ended up replacing the water heater element with this one. So far it has worked perfectly and no more tripping the dock GFCI!

This has been heating water almost everyday and works good. I like the stainless steel because the well water was bad on the original brass I had.

This heater element replaced the old one in our 10 year old 5th-wheel. It was easy to swap out and the drastic increase in hot water temperature was noticed immediately. The stainless steel construction is great and should last.

Works very good in my RIMS but wish I could find a SS Ultra Low watt density element.12/1/16 Update - I use a InkBird (STC-1000 type) temperature controller to cycle power to this element. I have used this element for 5 batches of beer now and I NO longer feel that I need for a SS Ultra Low watt density element. I remove this element, for cleaning, from it's RIMS tube after every batch and it is virtually spotless (no scale or indications of scorching my brew). Of course the proof is in the final product and I could not be happier with brews that I have produced since setting up my RIMS.Just to be prepared for the human error that could destroy this element and because it has worked flawlessly. I have purchased a 2nd one of these elements as a backup since, as with all water heater type elements, it only takes a few seconds of being energized while dry to ruin them.

Compact, and has worked flawlessly. I needed it for heating reverse osmosis water in a 10 gallon tank. Had a previous copper element. The dernord element takes up less space and heats the water at least as well as my old one. Easily installed in the old location. Zero complaints! Very happy with the purchase.
