This case is beautiful and looks really good. However the certificate holder appears to be made for other than 8.5 x 11 - A4 possibly? So if you have a 8.5 x 11 certificate (which I did), it won't fit without some trimming. Also the flag compartment seems a hair too large (or my flag was folded really well)This is not to say I'm unhappy with this display case. I was fortunate enough to have a photo trimmer, so I was able to measure and trim precisely.

The product looks good with my Retirement flag and certificate, hanging on my wall. Well made and easy to place flag and certificate in. My certificate was about 1/16th of an inch to big but easily adjusted the certificate.

This is the second unit i have ordered and bot have similar issues of craftmanship. The 1st one I made work because i had a deadline to get this complete but I had to put in several hours of work to clean it up and make it halfway presentable. The glass has some type of spray glue residue on it and it is incredibly hard to get off. The felt inside has smeared glue on. The framing on the inside has damage to it or it was never fully painted. You can also see bare wood/glue along the perimeter. It has good bones if you are handy enough to touch it up. for the price i don't think this is work it.

The flag display case with certificate & document holder big frame is great quality and simply stunning to look at. We will be putting a flag and certificate (and possibly some pins) to commemorate the veteran husband of an 80 year old grandmother for her Christmas gift this year. She is going to be pleased with the gleam of this real wood and that her keepsakes are protected by glass.Our first display case was defective and Decomil was an absolute dream to work with in getting the problem resolved. We definitely recommend this display case as well as Decomil.

Upon return from deployment I was presented a flag that was on the vehicle my son was defending through his missions into Syria. This shadow box is beautiful it holds everything from that deployment that it needs to. I highly recommend this product! Look and quality are top notch especially for the price point!

I ordered one of these to display one of several flags that I've had flown throughout my deployments. While I was quite excited to finally pick up a case and get these flags on display, what I received is not exactly what I was hoping for.The first case was received with completely shattered (obliterated) glass panel. I have yet to remove it from the box to check the state of the rest of the case, so I can't speak to that. I reached out to customer service and they were to acceptably solve that issue. A second case also arrived with broken glass, but this time it's just a clean break in one corner.After unpacking the second order, I was finally able to get a look at the rest of the case. First thing I noticed is that the document holder is not squared off properly. The defect is readily visible and displays a noticeable skew between the outer edge of the case, and the border of the document holder - one side is about 1/4 inch higher than the other. I haven't measured it to confirm, but it also appears to be slightly off-center. The last observation (and a consideration) around the document holder is that it DOES NOT fit any of the 8.5 x 11 certificates that I received in theater. There is no secondary glass or means to hold the document in place aside from friction.The entire product came covered in a white dust, almost looks like byproduct from sanding drywall. It's present on the wood, on the glass (where it also shows fingerprints left during manufacturing) and on the felt backing.The second case is missing one of the retention arms for the back board. Of those that are still attached, some have a very positive engagement that seems to work well, and others just flop around if there is no load on them.The wood is largely acceptable, but does have noticeable defects (dents, chips and other divots). Since the stain is intact, I'd have to believe the wood was damaged prior to construction.Overall, I appreciate the product for what it's supposed to be. Even at its price point though, I can't justify the need to trim/cut/modify irreplaceable documents in order to make use of it. If the cracked or broken glass were the only issue with this case, I'd seriously consider purchasing more of these. As it is, I won't be using either of the cases I have in the near future, because I refuse to modify any of my deployment mementos in order to make these cases work.

Awful! This is the second one sent to me. The first arrived with the glass completely shattered. This one arrived and the packaging seemed good. It was bubble wrapped well.When I unwrapped it. The frame pieces were not attached to the board. The whole thing was covered in some sort of dust. The glue holding the glass into the frame is splotched all around the frame. There are nicks out of the wood that look terrible. For $100 I wasn’t expecting it to be top notch but I was at least expecting it to be usable. This is not worth the money!

The quality wasn't a 5/5, but certainly wasn't horrible. It's good, but it's pretty much what you'd expect for the cost. Basically, if you're a woodworker, or have any eye for how quality wood working, finishing, joint butting, etc. should look, you'll find issues pretty easily. If I weren't pressed by a deadline I'd send it back, but to be fair they do offer to exchange it.

I purchased this case to display a flag (3x5) flown over Tactical Base Dwyer, Afghanistan during my son's last deployment. Not only did the flag fit perfectly, the accompanying certificate has remained in place in the frame. There was adequate room to also display name, Ranger and Airborne tabs, patches and other memorabilia. The case is very easy to open from the front with latches on both sides.I was involved in the purchase of two other display cases one of which was given to a residential Hospice Home in our area to honor veterans. The second is displayed in my office.All of the cases were quality woodwork and I would not hesitate to highly recommend this display case.
