This board is an additional board that includes contact pads for controlling buttons and batteries, USB-C power port for Elite series 2 controller, It may fix issues such as your controller Not charging, one of the buttons No Response, not recognising any chargers or not communicating with the dock.
If you cannot return the controller back to reseller for repair or do not want to pay the high $$$ repair price quote for repair, this solution is save money for you.
Compatible with XB Elite series 2 official controllers, NOT FIT for Elite V1 (model: 1698) controller or other controllers.

So I decided to give them a 4 out of 5 just because everything with the daughter board is beautiful, just that my particular unit was not able to charge my controller after repairs. It turned on and everything just did not want to charge at all ): bummer overall beautiful work ill try again next time

Replaced the board, reassembled and discovered the left button was defective. Strange, since from the flux residue, it appears they replaced the two buttons. These boards are definitely not new, but are refurbs that they didn’t even test before shipping. Returning.

I'm noticing that my A button on my controller will sometimes activate with normal press but other times I have to press hard to get the button to register.

I had a used xbox elite series 2 controller from goodwill. It had poor button response. After cleaning it with no functional improvement, replacing this motherboard has the controller working like new again.
