This starter replaced the OEM starter on my 1995 craftsman GT6000 garden tractor with Kohler M20 engine, exact replacement and easy install.

Replaced the starter on my 1996 Sears Garden Tractor with the 19 HP Kohler engine. I previously replaced the starter years ago with one from Sears. It was a lot more money than this replacement starter. The new starter spins the engine up much faster and the tractor started right up. Hopefully it will give me many years of service. It seems like a very solid unit.

Bought an open box for my kohler powered walk behind.Mounting studs were a little bent, but the starter mounted and operates perfectly after straightening them out.Very satisfied for the price I paid

product looks really good , unfortunatly it was to long for my machine . I think they changed the size of these starters at some point for this machine. difficult to source the right size for some of these Kolher motors. product shipped quickly and product was wrapped in bubble wrap.

I have been dealing with a bad starter for a couple of years so when it came time for an engine rebuild I got this.....what was I waiting for? This thing could probably start a car if you could get it to fit, It has power to spare and this tractor starts like never before. I'm extremely satisfied. Installation could be challenging if the engine is in the tractor, very possible but challenging. Tractor is an old Allis Chalmers 917 Hydro with a Kohler KT17 engine.
