This did not fit my 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500. Mine takes two prongs not four.

After deep research in Sharjah and Dubai spare parts stores I completely lost hope to find good alternator and this product save my time and money. I bought this alternator for Shevy Trailblazer 2004 5.3 V8 engine and it’s fits perfectly. Using it already for 5 month. Delivery comes very fast. Strongly recommended.

This alternator is intended for 99-06 GM trucks, with a 4-pin harness connector. It's listed as a replacement for the smaller 105A units, but it's really a replacement for the 'DR44' 145A (which has a larger pulley). The unit fit my truck fine. However, a few hundred miles after I installed it, the fusible link wire that connects from the alternator to the red 'battery' box... melted. I had to replace it. If you encounter the same thing, the GM part # is 8XX11FS -- and if you buy an OEM, it will be over $70 at retail, for a 12 inch piece of 8awg (specially) coated wire. That said, one can construct a fused link with thicker wire and an ANL fuse -- and that'll also probably cost close to the cost of the wire, as well, by the time you get everything needed. But it'll be easier / cheaper to replace, as needed. That said... if you're blowing links / fuses constantly, your charging system needs some attention, most likely with a new alternator -- and perhaps, a new battery, if this alternator cooks it.If your truck has the original OEM link... expect that it WILL fail, as fusible links deteriorate with age. So plan ahead. When the link melted, I was able to limp home. Before it went, I had been monitoring the voltmeter on the dash, and it was showing > 14A of charge -- high, but nothing drastic.Swapped back out to the old alternator (truck isn't driven often), and yesterday, I swapped back to this one. I ordered two extra links via 'the bay', and will install two in parallel (an idea I stole from Ford). If that blows, I'll be back to update this review, down to 1 star, as I'll need another new one. If it holds, I'll update and bump a star. But for now, it gets '3'.I also noted as I ran a charging test (@ 2500rpm) that this unit was now outputting about 12.5 volts, which is too low. So I'm thinking this alternator is probably a poor quality unit. Another clue -- I haven't seen this brand offered anywhere else.As for why I continue to use fusible links -- they blow slower than fuses / circuit breakers. In other words, they can handle transient loads a little bit better. I won't wire up a fused connection for this, but if I replace this alternator, I probably will. Finally, for reference... Fusible links are sized 4 gauges smaller than the wire they're protecting. But if you go with a fused connection -- do NOT size down. You need same / larger size wire, if you use a fused connection. Do your research, be safe, and you won't 'burn your truck to the ground' :)

Bought this in November. Just got vehicle completed and running and took it out for drive. Drove it 63 miles. Came back went out to go to dinner with wife started and voltage went up to 18. Metered the alternator and it is putting out 18volts and almost cooked my brand nee battery. This is junk.

This does not fit the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 5.3 like they say it does. Not even close to being the same. Only good thing was fast delivery.

If you don’t mind changing alternators regularly then this is the mess you want, lasted serval months then gave out instantly. Don’t purchase based on the high mark reviews rather read and adhere to the lower mark reviews they’ll provide you with more accuracy.

Needed a high output alternator in a pinch and this one has worked great since day 1. Never drops under 24 volts even under pressure from my stereo system. Strongly recommend this company.
