This cooling towel really helps keeping my son cool while playing soccer. He can wear it as a hoodie and also around his neck to keep him cool. I worry about him playing in the hot sun during the summer in Florida so I got this towel for him and I really like it. This towel is also good for the beach and pool to keep cool.

I bought this cooling hoodie towel about twelve days ago and it has already earned a permanent spot in my run bag. After a quick soak under the park fountain it drops to a chilly feel in seconds and that coolness lasts through a full five mile loop before I need to wet it again. The listed UPF 50 rating gives peace of mind and the fabric definitely keeps the sun from roasting the back of my neck. I really like the little button and the removable clip that keep the hood from sliding off when I duck or bend. It dries fast in the breeze and never feels clammy. The size covers neck and part of the shoulders without feeling bulky and the material feels soft against skin. I have used it while mowing the lawn and during a beach day and it handled both sweat and salt water without any smell afterward. Honestly the only tweak I would ask for is maybe an extra inch of length at the very back for total neck shade but even as is it still shields well. For the price it is an easy five star add on for anyone who spends a lot of time outside in the summer.

Nice breathable material, lightweight, but would benefit from maybe offering more than one size. Simply a smaller cut version would be nice. This hood is pretty big. I liked the pouch it came with and the carabiner clip for it, makes this a handy take along. But the small plastic mini clip that was included is useless. Its very fragile and doesn't have enough clip clasping pressure to even stay on the hood - not really sure the purpose of it. For use as a cooling towel hood with a pouch, this will work. For a quick momentary cool down it doesn't need all that excessive material around the neck. Its more like a towel and I would never actually "wear" this like the girl in the video.

This cooling hoodie towel gives great coverage and really works well in keeping me cool for hours. Its wide coverage shields my entire head (including face), neck, and shoulders. The fabric is soft and light and remains very light even when wet. With its UPF 50 rating, it does a much better job of blocking UV rays than a typical cotton shirt. It only takes a few seconds to wet, wring out, and put on, and I can immediately feel the cooling effect. This cooling lasts for a good solid hour or two under the Florida midday sun, which is long enough for me to mow the lawn comfortably.One improvement I would like is an extra button placed higher than the current one so I can fully button up and cover my face (like Kenny from South Park). Though the package includes a mini clip that I can use to achieve the same result, a button on the fabric would be much more convenient.I also had trouble keeping the towel covering my shoulders. When I button up in the front, the fabric pulls forward and there is not enough material in the backside (fabric is split in the back) to maintain that full cape coverage. I believe having an extra button near the neck would solve this problem as well.I’ll mostly be using this for my garden work, but this would be great for keeping cool and avoiding direct sunlight for just about any outdoor activities.

Wish it provided a bit more sun protection for the back of the neck. Just a bit longer and it'd be perfect. Great for hot days outside
