I’d like the size of it. It looks good in your kitchen so you don’t have to put it away as far as what I use it for. I’ve used it to make traditional rice dishes, such as chicken and rice, and this one rice has sausage and corn and other stuff in there and use it to make some Arab and moroccan recipes that I’ve learned and they all came out really well And you can cook at low heat

This is without a doubt the very best packaged item that I have ever purchased via Amazon.com. If this item was ever 'used', there was absolutely no visible evidence of it being used. The quality of the actual product is SUPERB, and I was quite surprised by how HUGE this item actually is. The advertised images made this product appear much smaller than it actually is. Again, the quality of the product and the packaging of this product has encouraged me to seek this company for future cooking products. I usually only purchase 'ALL Clad' or 'Cuisinart', but this is my new addition. EXCELLENCE!!!!!

We bought it to make lamb tagine. I was surprised by the quality. Has a nice heavy base and it’s pretty big. You could easily cook a whole, large chicken plus some vegetables in there. It is however, very tall and only just fits into our oven with the tagine lid on, but we could also use the glass lid instead when we do oven stuff. I was worried about storing it, because it is so big, but then I realized how many more things we can use it for, so we decided it’s worth making space for in our previous small pantry storage. Then pan is a similar size and depth as a Japanese donabe pot, which ours is glazed clay and kinda heavy for me, and I’m nervous about breaking. This tagine can replace it, as its perfect for sukiyaki, oden, shabu shabu, or basically, any kind of family size hot pot meal. Very happy having discovered this pan.

Very thick and quality steel. Large, keep the food inside when you stir, and can content enough to cook a meal for 8+ person. The cover option is very nice as you can use it everyday, even if you cook tajine everyday. To make incredible tajine, simply replace the regular cover by the tajine cover and voilà!Its best features is probably the fact that you can actually slow cook thing at medium temperature and it won't stick if their is enough liquid (chilie, stew, couscous, etc).Easy to clean. The tajine cover is a bit fragile, but I kept the original part of the box with the foam, so I can easily and safely store it when finish. Still able to resist better than most of clay versions.I recommand it as for the price it is good steel, nice engineering/design with the tajine. I don't fear it will break in the middle of my cooking, it is thick quality stainless steel.

I received this before the New Year's. It is beautiful, well-made, and substantial. The glass lid, however, arrived with a couple dents around the rim. I called the customer service number and spoke to Jerry. He was very friendly and prompt. He sent me a replacement right away. Anyway, I am very pleased with the excellent customer service.I already have a tangine by Emile Henry, but this stainless steel tangine is more versatile and durable. I don't need to baby it as much as the clay tangine. You do need to be a little careful with the ceramic conical lid though. Since receiving this tangine, I have made a few dishes already. The first one I made was a fish tangine with vegetables which came out to be incredibly moist and delicious. My husband and mom were impressed. The second was chicken tangine with preserved lemons and olives. All I can say is YUM and I didn't have any leftovers. For the third dish, I decided to do something different. I cooked a Filipino chicken adobo. OMG! It was so good! My husband has asked me to make it again. I love how all the food came out so tender and savory. The conical lid is a great basting unit. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. I have not encountered any issues with excess moisture and clean up is a breeze. This stainless steel tangine is so versatile that I can cook different types of dishes. My next menu includes ratatouille and lamb tangine. I look forward to making them this coming weekend. Happy cooking!

After much research, I decided to go with this tagine. I love the idea of clay tagines, but I didn't want the possibility of breakage. This is large...larger than I imagined in my mind, but once I made a lamb and vegetable tagine, I was so glad to have all that room. The dish turned out delicious. My family said right away that the meat was tender. I had cooked the dish for 4 hours, but prep work was minimal and kind of relaxing to make it all pretty. I docked it one star because of the lack of that Moroccan vibe and color, which I now realize is a huge part of why I enjoyed my trips and dining experiences in Morocco so much. I know this will be a workhorse in my kitchen, though, so I am glad I got it.

Extremely well made and very durable. The extra dome lid also makes it much more flexible for daily use. Unlike clay tagines, it doesnt need to be prepped before use. Remember however to keep the cooking temperature low and to keep the amount of liquid to an absolute minimum or you may find a pool of liquid which has seeped out around the rim. Highly recommended

I've wanted a tagine for years but was afraid of the all ceramic sets and didn't want to pay for the Le Crueset outfit even though the colors are wonderful. When this one was temporarily on sale, I swallowed hard, bit the bullet, and hit one-click. WOW!The base pan alone is worth the price. Heavy stainless, deep enough for soups and stews, handles, oven safe to 500 degrees, glass lid included--this is a beautiful and practical addition to my cookware collection. The conical top is white, not my color of choice, but it's surprisingly good looking. It's also solid and very well made. I worried about the fragility of ceramic, but this top is anything but fragile. This is not flowerpot ceramic, nor stoneware dish ceramic. This thing is heavy, sturdy, and will probably outlast me. I was a bit disappointed that the mushroom top didn't have a venting hole, but the guide that came with the tagine said to insert a fork or spoon in the side to provide a vent. Not ideal, but the rest of the ensemble is so great, I'm satisfied.I'm beyond thrilled with this set, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who's looking for a great gift, a way to expand the kitchen repertoire, or is looking for an unusual multi function cooking technique.
