My son is learning to draw, and so far, he really likes these circle templates. He's only used them a couple of times but says they work very nicely for his purposes. From my observation, they're more than simple circle templates. They have precise measurements that are clearly marked, which are obviously very useful for drafting and such, but they can also be used for a number of other applications. I'm thinking crafting and sewing, to name a couple. You can use them for very precise cut outs on felts and other fabrics. I intend to learn quilting, so I have no doubt they will come in handy for that. They're very light and flexible, so they can also be used to make designs on walls or furniture, although I imagine it would be a bit difficult to hold them still in those positions. They're designed more for flat surfaces as they slide around easily. I suppose you could use tape, but I doubt this would be very secure. Even for flat surfaces, though, it would be nice if the back of these templates had a slight grip so they would stay in place. Only time and use will tell how long these templates will last. They are quite thin, which adds to their usefulness, but they don't seem to be flimsy. If I know my perfectionist son, he will take good care of them, so I expect they'll be around for a long while. Overall, I really think this is a great set of templates at a reasonable price, especially with all the measurements and bonus shapes.

I do a lot of art projects and I’d been meaning to get a stencil like this for making circles. I ended up choosing this particular circle stencil because it comes with 2 different kind of stencils and 4 stencils in total. These stencils are a great value as you’re essentially getting four stencils for under eight dollars which is amazing. I mainly use the small green stencil; however, that’s not because the other stencils aren’t as good, because they are. It just so happens that the smaller green stencil fits perfectly in my desk drawer so it just ends up being more accessible to me. I have a large 12x12 album with page protectors, and I keep all my larger stencils and stamps in there. I just slip the larger 3 stencils into 12x12 page protectors and pop them in my stencil and stamp album. They really do fit perfectly in that binder. I’ve already used these stencils a handful of times for various mixed media projects, and I’m happy with the quality. I also like how one of the stencils has a bunch of other shapes on it besides circles so this is a versatile little kit. Another great thing about these stencils is that they are easy to clean. Working with mixed media I often use acrylic inks and distressed sprays, and I’ve had no issue getting the stencils clean which is amazing because that’s not always the case with some of my other stencils. I simply wipe them down with a baby wipe and they’re good as new. I’m really glad I ordered this kit, it is getting plenty of use with me. These stencils are great. They’re functional as well as incredibly versatile. I feel like they’re just a good thing to have in your home because I can almost guarantee you they will come in handy sooner than later.

I really only wanted a couple specific sizes for circle templates... 2.25" and 2.75", both of which one of the templates here has. But then there's another 2.25" circle on one of the others templates, and then two other templates of various shapes that I thought were great as add-ons.This is a REALLY COOL set of circle shapes for anyone wanting a little design assistance... Plus, there are other shapes, too on a couple of the templates... Trianges, squres, hexagons, octagons, rectangles...Great Value Pack of Shapes!

I ordered this stencil set as soon as I saw it. I do a lot of craft and construction projects that require full of partial circles to be cut out of the material I'm working with. I usually use a compass to mark the circles but using a compass can be difficult for me at times depending on what the material is made of and also the shape of the surface. The three "clear white" stencils in this set are thin and flexible which help them flex to meet the contours of most of my projects and make marking the circles a bit easier. I like that they have four lines marked on each circle to help with aligning the stencil but I think they would be even better for me personally if the stencils could be made so the circles weren't fully cut out and they were left attached in spots. Like if they just had a tracing line cut out partially around the circumference so that you have a full X line across the stencil center of the circle to center it against your work surface. Similar to how quilting rulers are made. Overall I like this stencil set pretty well and I consider it to be a fair value.

These stencils come in an abundant variety of sizes! I am a quilter since 1987, and without a doubt, circles are the hardest thing to put on a quilt. If you're a hair off on one side, it's visible as not a true circle. It's funny how the eye sees that so clearly, when angular shapes are more forgiving. So, aside from honing needle turn or other applique skills, you have to start with a perfect circle. And these stencils are a great place to start. There are even different types of materials used for the stencils, one being of hard plastic, and several soft plastic ones that can be wrapped around an object, like a potted plant or a vase. There is one stencil that has small shapes as well and most of those are geared toward architects and contractors. Though, I do like to re-arrange furniture every once in a while, and before I move a couch 5 times around the room to find the perfect spot, I'll draw the room and furniture to scale. Then I'll cut out the furniture pieces and place them in the room drawing with a little temporary glue (like what's on a sticky note) and plan out everything before I move anything. This stencil will help me do this much more easily. I can outline the room on my drawing tablet and use the stencil to outline pieces of furniture. Then it can easily be deleted and redrawn until I like the layout.
