It's even better in person. I was afraid that I was going to end up with a sparkly initial that would harken back to an episode of "Lavern & Shirley", for those of us who can remember that far back. But instead, this is an elegant and simply done gold initial with lovely sparkles, not too many and not too few. I can wear it on a blazer, I can dress up a dress with it, and I can use it to pull together a lovely scarf/cravat for my horsey show side. Nicely made, doesn't look cheap and cheesy and is a standout without being garish.
