I ordered shimmer ballet pink size 6-8 for a seven year old. As others have reviewed the size runs small. The tights would not have fit an eight year old, or even a taller seven year old (our floor/heel to hip bone 28" measurement). For us they worked well for the 3 times she needed them, so I can't speak to the durability. I gently stretched the tights length-wise and then gathered to the toe, put them on the foot and continued to gently stretched until we got to the top.

These tights were great for my four year olds first recital. She's a little on the petite size so these were just a little too long but it was easy enough to pull the slack up under her leotard. She loved the shimmer and I loved the durability!!!
