About this item

  • SMOOTH EDGE CAN OPENER: other can openers are dangerous. They leave sharp edges on the can and lid that can cause injury. Safety Can Express opens your can without leaving dangerous sharp edges on the lid or the can! In fact, the edges are so smooth you won’t pop a balloon! Finally, you don't have to worry about cutting yourself on that sharp edge!
  • CAN LID STAYS IN PLACE: how many times have you opened a can to have the lid fall inside or create a mess? With Safety Can Express, your lid stays in place until you're ready to remove it, preventing spills and messes. Just pop the top after you release the can.
  • CAN OPENER UNSEALS EDGES: Safety Can Express is different because it doesn't cut into your can or lid. Rather, it uses a steel roller driven by powerful gears to break that seal open without cutting into the lid. You’re left with edges that are incredibly smooth.
  • REUSE THE LIDS: have leftovers in that can? Why make another dish? Cans opened with Safety Can Express can reuse the lids to save leftovers. Try it on opened canned dinners or wet pet food that can easily spoil. You'll save money and time!
  • EFFORTLESS OPERATION: our safety can opener is so incredibly easy to use. Just place the can and press the button down. There's very little effort needed, making Safety Can Express a great choice for those with arthritis, gripping issues, or loss of movement and mobility in their hands! There’s no more squeezing handles, no twisting your wrist.
  • LOCKS CANS IN PLACE: Safety Can Express's powerful magnet locks your can in place so it won't slip or fall while the electric can opener removes your lid, making for a hands-free can opening experience!
  • ONE-TOUCH EASY PUSH LEVER: our ergonomically-designed easy push lever requires very little effort to press down. Once it's pressed, it stays down so you can go hands-free while opening your can. Just one touch is all you need! To remove your can, simply pull the lever up into its original position.
  • WORKS WITH ALL TYPES OF CANS: Use Safety Can Express on broken pop-top cans, dented cans, big heavy cans, odd-shaped cans, too

Never Cut Yourself On A Sharp Lid Again!Manual can openers and electric can openers leave a dangerously sharp and jagged lid when it cuts into your can, which can seriously hurt you. Now you can safely and easily remove lids from your cans with Safety Can Express, the new electric can opener that never leaves a sharp edge. It pops the top off and leaves perfectly smooth edges on the lid and the can. And after it’s open, the lid stays put. It won’t spill a drop until you pop the top!Safety Can Express Removes Lids DifferentlyOther can openers use blades to cut the lid, leaving razor-sharp edges. Safety Can Express, on the other hand, uses a steel roller driven by powerful gears to break that seal open without cutting into the lid. You’re left with edges that are incredibly smooth. It's so effective you can even reuse lids to seal the can for leftovers! Safety Can Express works on virtually any can, even odd-shaped cans, pop-top cans, and dented cans. Incredibly Easy to UseSimply place your can so it locks into place, then press the lever down. It will automatically stay down, making it hands-free! Then, when you're ready to release your can, just pull the lever back into the up position. There's no hard work, no more squeezing handles, no twisting your wrist. Safety Can Express makes opening cans super-easy and mess-free!

I was extremely disapointed with this product , NOT becausr it was a bad one but I am Australian living in Australia and yet you sold me a product with american fittings. that should NOT happen. Only australian standard products should be for sale in Australia.

Update: after just over a year of very minimal use. (Maybe a total of 30 cans or less total opened with it) It will no longer open a can. We use a hand can opener if only opening one or two cans. (90% of the time) However, my wife has arthritis in her hands and so if we are cooking for a crowd and have multiple cans to open we will get this out to use to keep her hands from getting too painful. It worked perfectly the first couple of uses, but by the third use I noticed that a couple cans had to be run around multiple times to open. I assumed that the cans were mal-formed or my wife did something wrong. A couple weeks ago my wife had to call me over to open a bunch of cans with the hand opener because it wouldn't open any of them. I again assumed that the cans must have non-standard lip to them or something. I also noticed that it was leaving lots of long stringy metal shavings which could be dangerous if they got into the food. Today we got it out again and I see that it will not open a can so I realize it HAS to be this machine. I look online and see that the part with the cutting edge tends to fail. Sure enough I look and see that there there is supposed to be a cutting edge there is a worn off piece of metal. With as few cans as it has opened it is clear that they did not harden the steel of the cutting edge which makes me mad because they save a few pennies and also are trying to make it fail to sell a new one. I will NOT be buying another one and will look to a difference brand and I suggest you do the same. (Keep in mind that I have a hand operated opener that operates the same way and doesn't leave a sharp edge. It has litterally opened thousands of cans starting back when my wife and I got married and I have never had a single issue with it and the cutting edge on it is still nice and sharp. Steer clear of this cheaply-made over-priced garbage.

It took a few tries of opening the cans to realize that the opener slices the top edge off but not where you would expect it to. I didn't think it was working at all until my husband showed me where it was cutting. Sometimes I need a knife edge to lift the top off but it creates a safe cut, no danger of sliced fingers. I love this opener!

I really wanted this item as It would have been ideal for my painful hands. However there was noting in the company’s Amazon advert to say it did not have an 3 pin electric plug attached so I contacted Amazon and they contacted the seller who said I would need to purchased an American converter plug, which I did. Then when I connected these two products up following the product instructions to the letter it immediately started smoking as though it was going to set on fire. I unplugged it immediately and the thing just smoked for about 40 minutes longer, I really was scared it would burst into flames even though it was not connected to any power source. Hence I’m returning it to Amazon asap for a full refund and the plug adapters as well.

Even though the description is somewhat misleading, this is still a great can opener. The description suggests the opener can peel back the lids crimped ridge to remove the lid from the can. It doesn't do that. It does cut just below the lid top but with a very clean edge. How to videos I watched say you can press down on the lever and let it do the rest, but the instructions tell you to maintain pressure on the lever throughout the cutting process. This is what works. And the opener does this very well. I also noticed that the way to tell when the cutting has finished is when the lower can and lid stop moving at the same speed. Then you know the lid has been completely removed from the can. As to whether you can reconnect the lid to put back in the frig, well that may not do very well as you have no real tight seal to maintain freshness.I have found one can that this opener won't open without working with the opener. Eventually it works. But, so far, only one bad can.Fast forward 2 months. I ordered it Jan.30th and did this review soon after. Now, March 29th, things have changed. Initially I had noticed the opener had some problems with specific cans. But, as time went on, I started to see other difficulties. The opener would stop and start, or need physical encouragement to get it to restart. Now, about two months later, it won't open cans it had no trouble with before. Its as though the blade is dull. With the standard openers, you usually have a lengthly blade so some time may take place before it stops cutting. But, with this opener, the blade must be shorter.Once before I bought a battery powered opener, actually a pair of them, two for one price. It too cut off the top but stopped working after just three months. So, okay I said, the other one will work. Not. It didn't work either. It was like they were designed to stop working after 90 days. This opener cost three times what my old opener cost and now I've had to go back to my old opener to do the job.

Original Safety Can Express As Seen On TV by BulbHead - Easy One-Touch Operation --This is a fabulous can opener.I had bought the manual version of this type of can opener but you generally have to cut around the can lip at least twice to penetrate the metal thickness. That manual opener eventually broke the handle off.I was excited to see there was an electric version of this type of special can opener. There are not many like it.The advantage is no sharp edges for the most part. You are cutting metal so it is possible to get a sharp edge but I rarely see this problem come up.how it works is the blade is on the outside of the can top or bottom lip, it cuts, usually, in the center of where the lid is bent over to seal the can. It takes about 2 revolutions of the can to get a comlete cut, sometimes the lid will start spinning on the can after the cut is complete.Because you are cutting on the outside edge, the lid will NOT fall into the can. You pull up on the lid as you would a jar lid, only there is no unscrewing of the lid. Just pulls right up.If you do not use all the contents, you can put the lid back on and refrigerate in the can.in the past, people would not want to refrigerate in the original container but some of todays cans have one piece cans with a sealed top lid. but even the cans with the bottom lid are safe for a few days. Any mold that might show up is because you opened the can (or any container) and exposed it to the air. not the fault of the can. Some cans have a recessed lid, where the can is actually wider than the lid. This will not work on those but you may be able to use it on the bottom which most are the same diameter as the can.I am very happy with this device, as I said it is hard to find a can opener that cuts onthe outside edges without sharp edges, and this is the first one I found that is electric.I would recommend this can opener, I believe it is safe to use, and the result is not sharp edges to worry about and you can use the can top to close the can to refrigerate short term.I do not know the seller nor did I receiver any product or money for my random review201029 0623
