There is a thermostat knob to adjust temperature on this. After less than 4 months of occasional use, it became loose and unusable. The return window had closed through Amazon and the manufacture stated that since it had been purchased through Amazon, returns would have to go through there as well. I contacted Amazon directly by phone

It has never even come close to wattage it is advertised. Even turned all the way up on a cold drum, I am lucky to see 800 watts. So far it still works, but the materials appear to be of low quality.

It heats our 55 gallon drum of epoxy resin accurately and evenly. No problems with the unit. Our product is kept in an indoor heated environment so the drum heater is not greatly challenged.

I bought two of these for the business just before I went into surgery, so it was my employees that got to try it out for the first two months. We all hate it. I thought it would be great, since it was so flexible that it makes better contact with the barrel. (We are warming honey.) Not so. There is absolutely no insulation on this thing. All the heat goes directly to the atmosphere. Want to warm something in the winter? Forget it. See, what they don't tell you, ANYWHERE - not on the website, not on the Amazon description, not even in the product literature - is that they recommend that you purchase one of their thermal blankets to go with this. Why? BECAUSE IT DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED. When I came back from surgery, it was too late to return through Amazon. I called the company, told them POLITELY why it was not working for us, that we gave it a good try, but that we would like to return it and get our money back, and they told us they would only process refunds through Amazon. So, we are out several hundred bucks for two of these things. These things work so poorly, one of them even burned out. AVOID THIS PRODUCT!

It heats high viscous liquids so that they flow. It performs as required in a manufacturing situation heating material in drums
