I have been sitting on my father's steamer trunk for many years. I decided to give the trunk a refresh. This mushroom face plate really added a lot of charm. Thank you.

Order was missing a cotter pin, plus the figment of the pins into the flange is poor.

Love this latch! Used on a treasure chest had made for my grandson. This latch looks very classy - not cheap like most of the latches I looked at.

Bought this for a memory box I made for a good friend and it is so cool. It's authentic and very artzy. It's not cheap or plastic, it's all metal and durable. Very very authentic old and cool. The loops that hold the latch are super easy to install. All you need to do is pre drill a hole the side of the pins, cut them down to whatever sise you want and push them in. I used a couple drops of wood glue to hold them in there for good and they haven't moved and it all works perfectly and authenticity. I would buy it again any day. Definitely recommend it.-Justin

Stunning latch for a treasure box I'm making. Very strong, a little difficult to install, but well worth it. Transaction was excellent all around -- great product, easy of ordering, speediest shipping. Appreciated and thank you!!

I used this latch on a hope chest. The color, measurements and description of this item are spot on. However, the installation was nothing like I expected. The four circular loops that hold the lock in place do not come secured to the two metal facings. You need to nail the loops in about 2 inches deep into the wood or bend them over like lynch pins. This is doable but unexpected. I though the six nail holes were the only hardware attaching it to the wood but that is waaaayy wrong. Still very pretty but not an easy install.
