How to use General Purpose 2 inch Masking Tape
The paint tape is a green crepe paper designed specifically for excelling at all general painting applications in the collision repair industry (cars, truck, motorcycle, bike, other vehicles and machinery) for auto paint, spray paint. The paint tape was also designed for all painting, masking and drafting and home, office, school use, such as refinishing (drop cloth, tarp, plastic sheeting, sheet), wall, wood, glass, cabinet, window, trim.
1. Clean Surface: The surface should be clean, dry and dust-free so the tape sticks properly.
2. Apply Tape: Lay tape onto the surface, pressing down as you go. Don't stretch the tape, or it may lift or break.
3. Let Tape Set: Wait about 30 to 40 minutes before you begin painting.
4. Wait: Wait until the paint is dry to the touch before removing the tape. Check the paint can for the manufacturer's dry times.
5. Score: Use a putty knife or razor blade to score along the edge of the tape. This prevents paint from being pulled up with the tape and from cracking along the paint line.

This BOMEI 2" painters tape sticks well when you want it to, but it peels off easily when you want to take it off, and it comes off without leaving any residue. I used this when painting my daughter's room to mask off the window trim and door trim. It left a pretty clean line when removing, but in the areas where the paint had really dried it did stick to the paint a little creating a choppy edge if you look really close. It works better if removing when the paint is still a little wet, but if you need to do more than one coat with drying time in between I would recommend running a blade along the edge before you peel it if the paint has dried. This has been my experience with most painter's tape. I am by no means a professional painter, but that's what has worked for me. It does tear easily when you try to tear it, and I did not have any times where the tape started tearing by itself as I unrolled it. It's about the same price as my local store, so I don't find it a "great" value, but it's not a bad value for the price either.

I don't find anything to complain about with these nice rolls of tape. I use lots of 3M tape and this feel just as sticky and the paper is a nice thickness.The edge seals for paint nicely and it comes off without leaving sticky residue.

Not the best product to use for painting, but would be good for craft or school projects. The color is nice and it does it's job.

Nice tape, sticks well and gives a leaves a nice clean paint line. Easy to dispense and tears clean.I put some on a polycarbonate surface in direct sunlight and left it for 5 days. It did fine when came time to peel it off, left a slight amount of glue residue behind but only was able to notice because it was on a clear plastic surface and you shouldn't leave masking tape on in strong sunlight for multiple days.Like the color choices, good value tape.

I am a Contractor and Business Owner and I buy a ton of tape year in and year out and I just don’t understand this one. I even use painters tape on my 3D printer bed to make my prints adhere better during the beginning. Yes, it is “decent” tape but it is THIN and rips noticeably easier than the 3M stuff I get all the time. It sticks and leaves a clean line. The adhesive is a little aggressive so this would not work well on fresh paint without taking the paint with it upon removal in spots. I do like the color options other than the standard blue ….but I do not see that as being such a positive that I would pay more than what the name brand stuff cost.In my opinion and with my experience I would not order this again just due to the value equation here. It doesn’t make sense to me to spend more on a generic when I can get the name brand for less and have a less aggressive adhesive that won’t damage fresh or delicate in progress work. Maybe I am just “old school” but I am really lost on this one. I can see when this would be useful but not “go to” or anything like that. Yeah, it’s nice to have a different color laying around to maybe flag stuff off and color code a specific job but for me I'm thinking I’ll just stick with the tried and true blue 3M stuff because …it is name brand, better overall and CHEAPER. I’ll keep one of these on the job trailer for “special” tasks and one of these for the 3D printer stuff until it's gone. I do not see myself going out of my way to pay a premium to order this again though. But it is good tape and will do the job.

BOMEI PACK 2 Inch Green Painters Tape, 2 Pack - does what it is supposed to do. Sticks until you unstick it, without leaving icky-sticky behind. Provided a clean, sharp edge between contrasting paint colors. Results look professional.

I ordered these for random use around the house/shop, not for painting, so I can't comment on the tape line it leaves behind. That said, I've tried these out and for labeling tasks and temporary use, and can say it works really well for that.The adhesive is strong, and it doesn't get left behind when removing it. It's probably one of the stronger masking tape adhesives I've seen, actually.And therein lies the only problem I see, which I'm knocking a star off of because it would make it much much harder for some folks to use it. It took an absurd amount of force to separate the two rolls. It took me about two minutes just trying to flex it and pull at it in different directions to get them apart. I'm guessing bashing it against a solid surface would fix that problem, but I was trying to see what it would take to do it by hand only.In summary, if you're wanting a strong masking tape, this might be a good option!

My review of the BOMEI PACK 2 Inch Green Painters Tape, 2 Pack Paint Green Masking Tape 2 inch x 55 Yards for Walls Painting, Labeling, DIY Crafting, Decoration and School ProjectsThis is really good painters tape and a good price for two rolls. I almost always use the 2 inch tape for my painting projects and this tape is a great choice. It is very sticky and goes on easily. It also releases with very little effort which is important when masking painted surfaces. I like the green color too since I can quickly identify it in my box of various tapes.
