I’ve been woodworking for years and was looking for an affordable set of planes to compliment my existing setup. This kit definitely delivered. The cast iron body of the planes feels solid and well balanced. The hardwood handles are very comfortable, should not I had to tighten the jack plane handle as the screw was a bit loose. Not an issue at all.Both the smooth plane and the jack plane required minor tuning out of the box but performed excellent. This kit is an excellent choice for any woodworker. Wether you’re starting out and are looking for value or you need a reliable back up set. Will look into buying more woodworking tools from Big Horn now.
