Absolutely love this shark building block set. The pieces are smaller than the name brand traditional bricks we all know and love but they are still easy to work with. The instructions were easy to understand and follow as well.

This thing has an insane number of pieces. And also, the size of the pieces is smaller than I was expecting. But to be fair I did not look at the measurements before ordering. I may never finish this as it has so many small pieces. It is as advertised though and comes with a decent looking instruction book. If I get it finished, I may update this, but I might run out of patience before then. One note, the box says three and up but I would say this would only be suitable for maybe 10 and up??? No way a child that age is going to get any use out of it with the tiny pieces and difficulty. I would have probably given it another star but the age just does not seem appropriate.

This is a micro brick set, so the pieces are very small. I would not recommend this set for young kids, both because of the piece size and the complexity of the instructions. I’d say at least 12+, because you really have to focus on the instructions. The pieces are not sorted, so I recommend containers to hold them between building sessions. It took me about a week to build this, an hour or two every night. As I said, the instructions are complex. Each step uses a lot of pieces, and you have to look closely at the build to see where the pieces go. It’s not always easy to figure out, and it doesn’t help that previous steps are grayed out. The illustrations don’t always show the entire build, either.Piece quality is just okay. I broke some pieces, mostly the ball-and-socket joint pieces for the waves. Some of the pieces have imperfections or marks. The pieces can be hard to fit together so they sit flush. The set is basically a brick sculpture, so it doesn’t look quite as good if there are little gaps between the layers. At times I turned the set upside down and pressed down to try and get the pieces flush.I do like the finished set. The shark has depth and detail. The teeth look cool against the open mouth. I also like the waves, they sit at adjustable angles to make it seem like the shark is breaking out of the water.

This is a second product in the product collection of "Wall Art Anima" building kits. It's somewhat overwhelming with the sheer number of blocks and hours/days it takes to complete it, but it's also quite fun and rewarding at the same time. While it's described as "aged 8 and older", I wouldn't let my 8-year-old build it as it's certainly going to drive her mad and frustrated while simultaneously causing many tiny pieces to go missing. It's for older kids in their teen or perhaps a silly grownup like myself. The build instructions are fairly well done, but given the small size of the blocks and small printed details, it gets challenging to decipher certain critical details. And because the blocks are tiny and tight, once you make a mistake, it's rather hard to undo the damage. My fingers got sore pretty quickly, and they are still sore after finishing the whole build.Once everything is done, the shark head look quite charming and works nicely as a decoration.

I did not realize that it was a mini Lego wall art. This makes it very overwhelming. It is like a puzzle where most of the pieces are the same color. It would be perfect for someone who really enjoys assembling complex Lego art. It's definitely overwhelming for children. Also, it does not seem like we got the brick separator, or it is hidden somewhere among many tiny pieces. The instructions are good visually, but most of the writing is not in English. The design of this art is definitely awesome, but it will take sometime to build especially for a newbie.

I have done plenty of micro mini brick sets but the BDYDT Wall Art Shark Building Blocks Set is one of the best I have built. The first thing you need to know is that these are NOT compatible with Lego bricks. Micro mini bricks are about 1/4 of the size of standard bricks. That said, the set comes in a giftable box with an image of the finished model. Inside are bags of bricks, mounting hardware and the manual. While there are 2200 bricks, they are all mixed so you will need to sort them all (no small task!) before starting the build. The manual is easy to follow and, like most micro mini sets, is build in layers with new layers being built on the previous. It isn't difficult but requires you to pay close attention and count studs to make sure everything is placed in the correct place. It is very satisfying to watch the shark take shape. The age range states 8+ years but I think older teens would be more accurate due to the focus and dexterity required. The manual does NOT give ANY indication of how to hang the set so you are going to need to look at the mounting hardware and position the base plate correctly BEFORE you start!! Learn from my mistake as, by the time I realized it, the build was complete.....THE WRONG WAY! It's really the only reason for my 4 star review.I fully enjoyed working on this set. The 3D aspect is very cool and looks great once completed. Not once did I feel frustrated or want to just quit. Had the manual given instructions for the positioning of the base plate, this would definitely be a 5 star review. At $40, I think it is well worth the price tag.

I got this for my middle grandson (9). It is too complex for him. It is not too complex for his 12 year old brother (oldest grandson). This is made of what look like LEGOs that are about 1/2 in every dimension to a normal LEGO. We have not assembled this. After it's assembled, I'll update the review to say how good the shark looks.Quality is good and price is middlin', so I'll give this an "ok" on value.I'm giving this 5 stars until it's assembled, and then I'll update the review if there are any problems.
