If you are looking for a battery operated sprayer this may or may not be an option for you. The build quality is ok, and the instructions aren't the best. The spraying wand is also short, so if you are tall, then you may need to bend down to spray the ground. The spraying wand is fixed length so its not ideal if you have to bend down to spray. The battery and pump is all one unit so if the battery dies or there is an issue with the pump then you'll have to throw the entire unit away. Its easy to operate, and you can either wear it as backpack, or use the wheel attachment and pull it behind you. It is a little cumbersome to drag and spray because one arm pulls and the other holds the spraying wand. The wheel attachment is easy to mount and take off, it just uses two plastic bolts to attach it to the backpack. The handle is also short, so again, tall people might find it even more cumbersome than usual because you may have to bend over to pull it. Also, the handle isn't very securely fastened because it uses a very rudimentary plastic clamping cones to put pressure on the smooth metal rod. Unfortunately it slips either because regardless of how much you torque down the plastic cone, the smoothness of the metal tube prevents it from really clamping down. Also, the more liquid is in the backpack, the more force you need to pull, which will result in the handle either rotating or pulling out completely. Also, the sprayer is always on. You can control the flow by a dial on the side of the sprayer, but it doesn't matter if you are pushing the button on the spray wand or not, because the pump is always on so its not very efficient. The backpack isn't very light when empty so you may get fatigued when carrying it, and even more so when you are fully weighed down by liquid. It works, and it sprays, but its not the highest quality design, nor high quality materials. Everything seems to be a compromise. It needs a longer spray wand, it needs a modern attachment system for the pole and handle, the button for spraying needs to be electronic so that your hand doesn't get tired from pushing and to communicate to the pump to turn on, otherwise it will be continuously on and running regardless if its in use or not until you push the off button. So if you are taller than 5'8 you may find the handle too short to pull and the spray wand too short to closely spray the ground. I give this between 3 and 4 stars because it needs redesigned components to make it a really good sprayer. Since I cannot give it 3 and half stars, I guess it gets 4 stars?

This is the first Petra that I have bought. But it is the third battery operated sprayer that I have owned. It is a new purchase; and compared to the other two sprayers that I have owned. It has a much more powerful spray and does the job faster than the other sprayers. I have contacted customer service about an issue that I had and they were and responsive. No waiting time whatsoever and super nice. They even work on Sundays. That being said, I think the sprayer unit is better than the two I had before, but I think the handle could be configured better. It is plastic and I don’t know how well that will last. We had to use a channel lock to tighten the cuffs to get the handle to stay onto the pole. Hopefully that will make it stay. But, honestly, I cannot say enough about their customer service people. And I do think the sprayer is a good unit.

This is great idea especially forethought that have back problems. The only flaw I have found so far is the handle comes out when pulling the sprayer. I have had to put it back in several times and even with tightening it it still becomes loose.

The number of stars is based on my attempts to assemble the unit, and because of the absolutely useless 'user manual' included in the box. All of the parts were thankfully there, but the manual contains NO instructions as to how to put together the handle for the cart portion (not planning on using it for a backpack), and no instructions for changing out the heads. What was delivered with the unit are a LOT of very small washers, parts, what I think is a tiny glass fuse, and some miscellaneous small plastic things. There is also a VERY detailed, and very small diagram of EVERY part in the sprayer, and I've spent the last hour trying to figure out which washers are supposed to work with the sprayer wand, how they're supposed to be put together, or if, and what the rest of the small parts are. The user manual is a joke - it's pretty obvious that this item was NOT meant for the U.S. market, and probably isn't meant for the consumer market, from the extremely poor English translations. The user manual is almost unreadable, and thankfully there are a few diagrams indicating where the switches and controls are (and how to use them to adjust the spray), but there are no real 'here is how you put this together to start using the sprayer' in the literature. When I opened the shipping box, the packaging was damaged, with a hole at the top, and a LOT of tape, which tells me that this is a return that someone at Amazon put back on the shelf and sent out again. This is the second return item we've received recently (the first was broken, and a replacement provided), and I'm getting hesitant to order lawn and garden equipment now, because of the low quality, broken items being shipped as 'new' and products with unhelpful, or incomplete user instructions. The diagram at the back of the manual (looks like it was printed off of someone's home printer and stapled together) requires a magnifying glass to figure out which of the tiny parts included in plastic bags are which, and even then, I'm not sure which washers are supposed to go where, or if they're spares... it's a mess.As far as usage goes, it's a mixed bag. My biggest issue is the handle and the wheels of the cart part of the unit. The handle is allegedly adjustable, but when the tank is loaded with the full 4 gallons, the fastener/adjuster at the base of the handle gives way, and isn't strong enough to haul 4 gallons of liquid. The handle comes off, no matter how you tighten it. The second issue I have is the wheels, which are a relatively cheap plastic, and aren't well suited to rolling on anything other than smooth surfaces. I needed to spray a gravel drive full of weeds, and the wheels don't want to roll on the gravel. I have to drag the unit across the uneven surface, rather than rolling it. Between the handle that won't stay locked, the wheels that aren't functional in a non-city, non-pavement setting, and a misting/spray head that won't work unless the tiny white piece between the orange piece and the rubber washer is reversed (pressure just builds up on the interior of the head, rather than operating as an adjustable spray head). I can't say I'm really pleased. I'm going to have to get into the handle with a drill, make some holes, and secure the thing with a bolt to keep from having the handle come out while I'm trying to roll it to the next spot that needs spraying. The rest I'm just going to have to fix as the problems arise. I'd say 'save your money' and get a larger, U.S. made wheeled sprayer. This one has some issues, and that's right out of the box.
