I would like to first say that your wheels are amazing. I'm currently using a set of the classic Poison wheels circa 2008. A brief history behind these wheels...My wife, derby name RIOT, first purchased these wheels in 2008, that same year she beat the men's national speed record on quads by 3 seconds. In 2010, using the same wheels, her team the "Mobstars", which she was the main point scorer for, remained undefeated from 2010 to 2013 in Southside Roller Derby (SSRD), including winning her team three championships. The Mobstars were televised on the "Roller Revival" ESPN Sportscenter back in 2008. She then went on to captain another team until 2015 when she had to leave competitive roller derby due to health issues... She came back to coach for SSRD in 2022 to train the new skaters with a fresh pair of Poison Savants.. She coaches beginners, the speed and agility class as well as the adult roller derby team and the next generation of roller derby juniors. RIOT has been an advocate for Atom wheels and the Poison line, having converted 15 students to Savants. She recommends your wheels due to their long-lasting grip and dependability. "They are a very forgiving wheel in an unforgiving sport", "After switching to Poison I'm never going back..." - RIOT- Her skaters love the customizable color options and she has even been quoted saying "Pick your Poison". I am now using those same wheels (Circa 2008) to help Southside as a ref and THEY STILL GRIP! Wasn’t sure how I would feel about having a hybrid indoor/outdoor wheel, but I really like them. I like the feel they give my skates, and I love the speed and grip that I get with them.
