Decent quality plastic, the little astronaut dude is rubber. His backpack is big enough for a pencil, the cup next to him could hold at least a few more. The projector is a fun nightlight and the lamp light gets nice and bright.

This light is absolutely perfect for a kids desk. It comes with a pencil holder, has a really cool projector on top that makes stars on the ceiling (so could double as a nightlight) and the desk light is very bright. It's rechargeable and holds its charge well. This light is an excellent value, highly recommend.

This astronaut lamp is awesome and very out of this world cool. The projected images/movements are nice to watch, and the boys love it. It’s pretty bright but can be adjusted which I -LOVE- about this lamp. Finally something that fits the room theme while Also keeping it functional.
