I am used to needing that old school large plug in Coleman camp air pump, that I always need an inverter for. So when I saw this I thought I would give it a try. I almost thought it was a joke when I opened it and saw it was practically smaller than my computer mouse. I tentatively charged it up and connected it a single person air mattress. Then waited. and waited. So it was slow. Real slow compared to what I am used to. However, after 3-5 minutes, my mattress was full and firm. Wow. When I am camping I am generally not in a pinch to get my air mattress full, and really this is awesome because it’s so much less packing space. If you were back packing this is a gem.

I brought this along with me on a tubing trip with some friends. Everyone started making fun of me when I whipped this out of my bag and said it was an inflator. As soon as I turned this on, the tube started to inflate. It inflated a regular sized river tube in under 2 minutes. It works crazy good and the size it just unbeatable. The portability of this thing is amazing. It literally fits in your pocket. I was able to blow up about 4 tubes in under 10 minutes in the hot summer sun. This thing really packs a punch!

Make sure you hold down the on button for two seconds to turn it on.

The mini air pump, model AstroAI BC3 (in the manual it is called AIRUN BC3), worked as expected for my camping air pads -- the manual states 15 minutes working time; the marketing description shows at the time of writing this review a higher value: 35 min. I am just in need of inflating maybe 2 air mats, therefore I wouldn't need so much battery power, but I can use it as camping lantern as well. The air flow with 300L / min is good and it takes for my camping air mattress (double size) under 1 minute to inflate. The BC3 offers 3500 Pascal pressure and that could be a little more for my taste: I cannot get the air mattress as firm as I would desire. I find 3.5kPa more on the low end and for larger air mattresses that could be to less. The marketing description also mentions that the pump is made for small to medium sized inflatables.I tested the air pump also with my self-inflating mattress, meaning helping the mat's inflation process a bit, the air pressure was sufficient. The BC3 can also help with BBQing if you need some air flow for the charcoal.I am recharging usually with solar power while on the go and the MC3 draws 6-8 Watts while recharging. The dimmable light is a nice feature while being outdoors, first of all when inflating a mat when it is dark outside and secondly, there's always need for an additional light while on a camping trip and therefore this little pump is useful not only for inflation / deflation.Even though it is a mini air pump, I still consider it a pump for car camping, not backpacking -- for the latter even more lightweight pumps exist, maybe with a smaller battery but also lighter in weight.

I picked up the AstroAI Mini Portable 3000 mAh Air Pump to be used when I head out camping. In the box, you receive the 3000 mAh AstroAI Mini Air Compressor, 6 different airflow adapters, a USB-C to USB-A charging cable, a little black pouch, and an instruction manual. For ages I've had a much larger corded air pump that's incredibly loud that I'd plug into my car and inflate with, but now, with this little guy I don't need to be next to my vehicle anymore to do all the prep work for our camping adventures. It measures 3.7" tall by 2.3" wide and is so easily packed away and taken out when needed. We can now hike to a location and set up camp without being near a vehicle, I'm telling you this is priceless. There is a downside here - it's not super extremely powerful so do not expect to use it to inflate your bike or car tire because it's not capable of such a feat. However, if you're in a pinch with a large inflatable full-sized bed, you could use it but I would not put back pressure on this little device - so no pressing down on the bed as you inflate it.Overall, it's an excellent little mini portable air pump, if you do any camping and bring inflatable bed mats with you, I'd say this is a solid pickup!

Would not fully inflate my air bed or a large air mattress. Both ended up under inflated. May work to inflate pool toys, or as a small lantern, but at this price point as an "air mattress pump", I'm disappointed.

I picked this up to be a more compact inflater for my ThermaRest air mattress and air pillow. My air mattress is partially foam, so doesn't need a very powerful air pump. The one I had for it worked well, but was kind of bulky and required either a battery (one of those non-standard types) or a 12V cord plugged into my Jeep.I was surprised at how small this is - it easily fits in the palm of my hand. It comes with several adaptors, and I was able to use one of them to inflate my air mattress as quickly as (and maybe even faster than) the ThermaRest inflater. It's not high-powered, so I don't know how well it will inflate inner tubes or other floats, but I'm excited to try when the weather gets warmer. It charges pretty quickly and has a clear indicator when it's charging and fully charged (it glows red while charging and green when it's done). In addition to inflating things, it has a built-in light, making it useful while you're camping, not just when you're setting up camp. The air pump comes with a drawstring carry bag for the pump and nozzles, and tucks into just about anywhere. When turning on either the light or air pump, you just press and hold the appropriate power button for a couple of seconds (this is included in the instructions). It turns off with just a single press of the power button.
