My dogs are very comfortable in the shade of these sails. We just moved here and are still doing our outdoor set ups. I will be buying more for our human outdoor living areas also.

Good product and material. Mine has a small rip in it out of the package. Won’t hinder the capability but it still shouldn’t happen.

Good quality product. The only thing I would change is the precut rope lengths they send. You get three per shade and they’re 3-4 ft. Long. I used cable so it wasn’t a big deal, but no two applications are the same so precut rope not likely to work for the majority of customers.

My pool is shaded partially now the water don’t get warm anymore. Florida heat is bad so this can be used over patio furniture as well

First, the rating is based on price. I didn’t want to spend a lot until I decided I liked it. I do like it and I’m not disappointed with the quality. I like the shade but love the cover by my door. We had a good rain and it held up fine. I figure if I get a summer out of it I’ll be happy. You can spend more but I don’t see why you would…it’s also a straight forward install. 3 points to attach and done. 1 major issue is the hardware is separate. I bought a kit here on Amazon and it had everything. Good luck!

I used a 12x12x17 first and wasn’t quite enough so I got 2 additional 12x12x12 and used the wire rope kits to install. Love the way they look and really happy with the extra shade on the patio for our sitting area. I had to get creative with how I made them all taunt but it worked out great. So far I have had to tighten them twice but that’s because the fabric is stretching. I would not suggest using the rope included with the shade sail unless it is super temporary. You will want to get these pretty tight. I have a great shade addition for under $100 with the wire rope and all the hardware. Definitely recommend.

Bought two of these sun shades for our backyard. We are very pleased since they cover more area than a regular table umbrella and it is dappled light. They look great. Note that they are not made of canvas, it is a nylon type material and there were some wrinkles out of the box. After a few days the wrinkles disappear and the material is probably better than canvas in the long run to dissipate moisture. Had a bridal shower in the backyard and they provided just the right amount of shade. Would definitely recommend.
