Perfect!!! We have had three brownouts and this product handled them all. I have my Dell tower, two 32” monitors, two printers, seven external drives and our T-Mobile wireless internet router all wired to this UPS . Brownouts did nothing to these electronics - everything stayed fully operational.

This UPS is amazing and works great! My only issue is that the PC connection cable wasn't in the box (hence the one missing starl. It happens, no big deal, I got an aftermarket for $11. I have a 700w (?) for my desktop and got the 1500 for the gaming PC I built for my son. The battery life is unreal and survives temporary power outages like a champ, even under load. I'll always go with APC for UPS needs.

APC is my favorite of all brands of battery backups that I've tried. I've been using this particular brand for about 20 years. This particular model is the first that I've purchased where I don't have to connect the battery to any wires... The battery just slides right in. This APC is replacing a Cyberpower battery backup. Unlike Cyberpower, APC battery backups will actually tell you when their battery is dead. If you are considering which brand to go with, of the two, I highly advise against buying a Cyberpower and highly recommend going with APC. I had two Cyberpower battery backups just recently turn off on me when their batteries died, all the while showing me a full capacity battery indicator through its display and with its software. Unlike Cybepower, APC will actually tell you when your battery is dead and show you an accurate display of your battery capacity, without cutting power to your equipment. I can't tell you how important of a feature this is in a battery backup system. Buy APC.

Worked excellently until I got an F06 (AVR Relay Failure) about a year after purchase. Might have to do with the fact that this was used somewhere with terrible grid management. Unfortunately, APC is nearly impossible to contact, so they weren't able to honor the 3-year warranty. Fortunately for me, Amazon stepped up and offered a return for a refund outside of their regular return window as an alternative and I simply bought a replacement on Amazon.

Just purchased my 2nd one a week ago. Great for keeping important devices running during a power outage. I use one on my internet modem, home router, and wireless network devices to keep my home lab functioning. The other UPS is connected to my main computer and server to prevent data loss during an outage. It works so well that I had to buy a 2nd one. Great value for the money!

APS has been my go to UPS for over 20 years. I usually replace the batteries, but after 15 years I thought it was time to replace the unitWorks as intended and I’ve never had data loss b/c of surge or incorrect shut down. I’m a Apple Macintosh user

The product is very nice but they did not deliver it the day that it says "delivered" and not to the correct address. It delivered one day after delivery date and they put it in the lobby while the office in the third floor was open.

I have these things all over my home due to power outages, surges, lightning strikes, etc. Unfortunately, the area was without power for a week (2024 hurricane) and my smaller unit started shutting down that manages some essential monitors, etc. This thing is very heavy and I was afraid when I read I had to remove a door/ batteries, etc. The good news is that the batteries were already connected and all I had to do was figure out how to open the door, remove the sticky labels, turn upside down and reinsert. I hope it lasts for many years. *I bought a generator for any future hurricane outages.

I've had this UPS Back Up, for two weeks now, decided to check out the software download. After installing, I run the self test and it failed, a small window popped up on my monitor instructing me to contact the supplier to purchase a new $100.00 battery, or skip that and just buy another new one. I ran the test a couple more times, same results. I even tried resetting and restarting it a few times, it kept failing the test. I sent the Amazon third party supplier an email and got back some kind of automated case letter. So then I called Amazon, and they sent the supplier a second email. This time they reply requested my shipping address, so we gave it. Next, day I get a reply from them telling me their UPS website is down and they will contact me again when its working again. So, at this point I had enough and called Amazon back. This time I filed a claim for the return of my money. They told me I should see a refund within 5-7 business days. I guess the supplier will eventually get around to sending a return shipping label if the want their defective merchandise returned. After the fact, I found out this model had be discontinued, even thought they said noting in their sales ad on Amazon about that; And they're selling a new model for twice the price. Hopefully, it will be a better product.Note: This is my second review since I purchased two of these units and both now have failed the battery test. Owning two of these has revealed a pattern which anyone purchasing only one of these wouldn't notice. These unit come equipped with an USB cable which connects from the Battery Back-Up to a computer, software is then downloaded and the user is able to monitor the operation, and perform periodic battery tests. They call this software 'Power-Chute Personal Edition' During the battery test of both units I noticed there was a button for 'Replace Battery Date' I clicked on it and noticed a replacement date of 3/18/21, and 2/18/21 on the other unit. This means as of this date of writing these batteries are already 3 years old! And I've owned these units for a only a few weeks. This would mean the seller is using Amazon to sell off his old warehouse inventory of batteries which have expired dates. The proof is the age of the batteries in these brand new units when tested. This poses a problem because the batteries have an estimated life of 3 years. And both batteries have failed the battery test. In the software, the seller states, "We recommend that you change the battery in your unit at least once every 3 years." If you are one of the unfortunate ones who ended up with one of these defective units, simply contact Amazon Customer Service and explain in detail what has happened here. Even though this is a third-party seller, Amazons A-Z warranty will reimburse you in the event the seller does not refund you if you act within the 30 day warranty period. But, they may even extend the period due to the sellers deception. Finally, based on my own experience with this seller, this seller will try to get you to pay for return shipping, don't do it. If he wants his defective merchandise returned then let him ship you a free shipping label.

The APC-UPS is for me an absolute necessity to protect my Apple MacPro workstation, Apple 22 inch monitor, colour printer, film scanner and internet cable modem from power surges, brownouts from low hydro voltage and even sudden or intermittent power failures. This unit will protect your valuable electronic gear from sudden voltage swings and from electrical storms too. UPS stands for Uninterrupted Power Supply... and that's what it does - powers your gear when the local hydro fails.Example: Here in Montreal, we have had 4 power failures in 2023, one a mini ice storm with no power for 64 hours. The APC-UPS allowed me to continue working on my computer, write posts on twitter and even make phone calls with the modem wifi connection. Depending upon the power draw of your equipment, the built in battery pack will last from 20 to 30 minutes! So if you're working on a project, writing an email or using Photoshop, you can save your files and safely close down everything, without a single loss of any files. The flip from local hydro power to your battery backup is instantaneous, so fast that my computer did not detect the sudden local power loss, though I noticed because all my lights went out! The audiovisual industry and corporate IT departments use these same APC-UPS units to protect their gear. This is the second APC-UPS I have owned. I retired the first one purchased in 2007 after 15 years of use, because the replacement battery was 75% of the cost of buying a new one! This newest unit uses the latest technology and bonus - comes with a 3 year warranty. The massive and heavy internal sealed battery typically lasts from 3 to 5 years. At least that was my experience with my first APC-UPS. The second battery lasted 7 years! My newest APS-UPS has run flawlessly since November 2022 even though, as I said, there have been four power failures. I highly recommend this product.Cheers! UPDATE: After talking more with customer support, they sent a replacement unit which has none of the problems my first one did. I still need a bit of gaffer tape to cover up the lights from the buttons, but other than that, it's perfect. APC customer support was helpful and communicated clearly. The original review follows:I STRONGLY recommend you get the gift wrapping instead of going with standard shipping in the original box that shows what is inside. The unit is about half the size of a PC tower and is it ever heavy. I'm impressed with the packaging being minimal, recyclable, and yet sturdy. The battery was easy to take out and turn around the right way to get the unit working. The sockets on the back are pretty close together and I'm only able to fit three plugs in the five sockets (computer equipment tends to have big plugs). When the unit is on, the screen turns off with inactivity, but the three buttons remain illuminated. When the power went out, I couldn't figure out how to turn off the screen and it remained on using up a small amount of battery.I had some issues with the unit, but the manufacturer is quick to respond (4 min from my first question) and worked me through some troubleshooting. I've been using this brand for years and I'm always impressed with their service. But this brings us to the parts I don't like about it.I live in a semi-rual part of Canada, and our island has more trees per km of electrical line than anywhere else in North America - or so the power company tells us every storm season. 6 months of the year is storm season and I felt it would be nice to have something to protect my PC better than a regular surge protector.I had hoped the battery backup would even out the electrical current but it doesn't. Even at high sensitivity, the light plugged into the battery backup still flickers when the neighbour is welding or using heavy equipment. It also makes some noise that most people probably wouldn't hear but are obvious if I'm trying to sleep in the same room as the machine. If I turn the unit off at night, it thunks when clicking back and forth to the battery backup due to inconsistent power from the mains... even though it is turned off, my computer is getting a flash of power when the unit makes this switch. I've given up keeping it off and used some black gaffer tape on the glowing buttons. On the whole, I feel this isn't what I expected. I got it with the idea that it would even out the issues with my local power supply quality - but these same issues seem to bother the UPS just as much as they bother the computer and lights. What it does best is to be a battery backup and I'm glad I got the larger size because if the storm is strong enough to knock the power out for more than a few days, it's too cloudy to use my solar panel to charge my gadgets. This will do the trick nicely.
