I returned this because the actual stainless steel ball has a hole of less than 1/2 inch. (More like 3/8inch) I thought this valve would be too restrictive. I did not open the blister pack, so I could return it. But you can easily see thru the packaging. It is advertised as a 3/4 inch brass ball valve and that is true. I needed a valve with a large ID that would allow debris, scale, rust, etc to flow out of my water heater tank.
