First gun I ever bought 2 years ago and it still performs well. Used everything from single stage, solvent, waterborne, sealer, and clear without major issues. I will say it does eat up a lot of material and produces a fog of over spray when sprayed at the recommended psi along with that this gun isn't even legal for shop use in the USA.... Additionally this is now just so over priced it's ridiculous, I first purchased when it was $180 but now it's even more expensive than the higher end kiwami4 models while it was intended to be the cheapest in the bunch.

I am a painter in a high production shop. I was skeptical of this gun because of the price but it is a great gun! I use ppg water and the gun breaks up and atomizes it great!! I would highly recommend the gun in any situation, sealer , base, clear.

I am a big Iwata fan and user. This inexpensive gun is priced as if it would be really cheap in its quality. Far from the thought. I have two of these that I run through there paces daily. Why buy off brand when the real deal is just as affordable?

Can’t beat the price. Sprays as good as $1000 gun. I’ve tried sealer, base, and clear with it so far. I’ll primarily use it for base.

I’ve been a combination bodyman/painter for 28 years. This is my fourth Iawatia . I have a supernova for clear and I bought this one and this gun is almost as good. It has a smaller fan pattern but lays down basecoat ,metallics , and mid coats Very nicely no mottling or streaking atomization is outstanding even while spraying medium to high solids clear coats . You can’t beat the quality of this gun for the price . I’m sure within a few months time this will be like the other gun. The Bellaria went from being a cheap gun up to $300 - $400

Used this gun to lay down some stripes on a 23 Shelby F150. I’m a body tech by trade but I can also paint when I want to. I have an lph400 and a Sata 4000rp. I honestly preferred this cheap iwata. It was a breeze to spray with and super predictable. If you can’t spray with this, then you just can’t spray period and a gun isn’t going to help you with that.

So I’ve been a journeyman painter for 20 years and used a great selection of guns. Late night Amazon browsing brought me here.. figured a brand name gun for this price range was to good to be true, still bought it and thought worse case I could use it for a touch up gun or something. First impressions.. it’s a true iwata gun but dosnt come with the tool or anything aside from a bare gun and throw away cleaning toothbrush. Luckily I had the adapter to use with the Sata cups and tried it out on waterborne base .. this gun is no joke, it atomizes so damn well and sprays base amazing. Even the tricky metallic colors were no match for this gun. It’s nice and light with a easy trigger pull so great for all sizes of jobs. The best part? It’s like every iwata gun and comes apart super simple for cleaning and nice but nut on the fluid tip so no chance it will eventually round off like some other guns I’ve owned over the years. It’s a budget gun but it now has a permanent home next to my Sata and other iwata guns. If your looking for a great gun I wouldn’t hesitate, I can’t at this time confirm on how it lays clear but I would imagine it wouldn’t struggle at all.

Since we switch to water basecoat, we have been using the Iwata LS-400 and the LS-400 Entech. Very happy with the paint guns, but one of them quit working, and after several attempts to repair it, I decided to replace it. At the time I bought those guns they were over $700. I was very impressed at the Kiwami 4 and how it sprays. When my other guns die, I will be replacing them with more of the Kiwami 4's. I have been doing body work and painting cars in collision shops since 1990, and in 2005 I opened my own shop. I have been a PPG master painter for over 15 years, so it take a lot to impress me.

I have so far used this to completely refinish a beat-up bumper cover on a 2003 4Runner. It handled the 1D4 Titanium metallic paint that I got from Sherwin Williams Automotive with no problems at all. I died some pattern testing at different air/fluid/fan settings and it performed quite predictably. My air setup Is a simple 20gal 175 psi max Home Depot compressor with 50 ft hose. I was able to complete each coat with air to spare and I let the compressor recharge between coats.I upgraded to, and highly recommend, the 3M PPS 2.0 paint cup system (see the adapter in the pics) and I use an Iwata regulator. All in this is probably $200 for the gun and another $65 or the regulator and maybe $30 for PPS 2.0 adapter. Amazon usually lists the correct adapter near this gun.
