Pros:Durable plastic build quality feels premium and robust.App control is smooth and intuitive with useful scheduling features. It is fully automated, once I drop it in the pool it does everything on its own.Very thorough cleaning performance including the pool floor, walls, and waterline.Smart navigation and WavePath 3.0 keep cleaning efficient with full coverage.Long lasting battery easily handles full cleaning cycles without needing a recharge. The ultra fine filter traps small debris and improves overall water clarity. The cordless charging design is convenient and avoids any tangled cordsCons:It is expensive, the high price tag may not be ideal for smaller pools or budget-conscious buyers. The weight of the machine is heavier than expected, when lifting it in and out of the pool it's more difficult.Initial app pairing took a few attempts before it connected properly.

It's still early in the season but so far this cleaner looks like it has everything I'll be needing to keep the pool clean without breaking my back. One of the first things that stands out to me is the dual stage filter where you can run the cleaner with just the filter basket to pick out heavy debris (Leaves or dirt) that tend to collect after a storm or early/late season allowing it to run longer without the fine filter clogging up and requiring frequent emptying.Of course the biggest advantage is no longer having to worry about a sore back and/or arms from having to push a manual vacuum around the pool scrubbing the hard to remove or reach spots. The battery life is perfect for cleaning most sized pools though charging is very simple using either the supplied dock or plugging it in directly. In terms of cleaning capabilities I was impressed with it's suction power as often times battery powered devices are a little lacking but no complaints here (Unless your liner is damaged and is detaching which may be a concern for other reasons as well) and I like the algorithm that is used to clean the pool as it follows an efficient pattern to maximize the available cleaning time rather then randomly moving around like some other cleaners. Waterline/Scumlines are not a concern either as being able to clean up to 2 inches above the water line is enough to account for dropping water levels or the raising of water levels when the pool is occupied. One important item of consideration is that this is specifically geared to inground pools and while from a feature and capability perspective it looks like it will work fine in an above ground pool be aware that this unit is heavy (about 20kg) which can be problematic for getting in and out of a pool or for the pool walls if they are unsupported (such as an above ground pool)

Introducing the AIPER brand Scuba X1 Pro cordless pool cleaner robot; a brand-new 2025 state-of-the-art total cleaning solution product for swimming pools. This is the top of the line flagship model, a most able successor to 2024’s multi-award winning SCUBA S1 Pro model. All this from a brand that is totally focused on designing, engineering, and building only one product: cordless robotic pool cleaners.Let’s start this review with a summary of the incredible capabilities and benefits offered by this truly unique product followed by a price/value economic analysis for homeowners to further justify purchase consideration for this device.Perhaps the first question on many minds is why would one drop $2 grand for this unit when dozens of other robot pool cleaners are available starting at $150? This machine has the features, performance capabilities, build quality, and robust two-year warranty to seal the deal. This robot uses a combination of AI and a proprietary WavePath navigation system utilizing state-of-the-art direct time of flight (dToF) laser sensors and an algorithm to systematically clean your pool from top to bottom with 6600 GPH suction and filtering capabilities. Many pool robots often use a haphazard random cleaning zigzag cleaning style that produces significant cleaning overlap/underlap patterns.Cleaning a pool the old-fashioned way with suction hoses and a long handle would often tire a person before proper cleaning could be completed. In contrast, this machine will clean up to 70,000 gallons on a single charge, filtering the entire pool up to 10 times in the process. At completion, the device will conveniently park itself at the edge of the pool for retrieval, filter cleaning and recharging. The powerful motors combined with dual full length tracking traction enable the machine to climb pool walls all the way to the top and perform the critical cleaning task of waterline scrubbing. Tested tolerances for salt, chlorine, and extreme temperatures have all been engineered far above required norms.Although there is a heavy duty lifting handle, be prepared for the toughest human assignment required; lifting the 45 pound machine (plus any retained water weight) out of the water to the pool deck. For consumers with physical limitations, this machine is slightly heavier (3 kg) than similar priced and equipped competitor models.Think of an investment in the present product under review as a type of insurance policy for maintaining and improving the value of your home and your ongoing enjoyment and satisfaction of hosting and using a sparkling clean pool.Do you clean the pool yourself? Say goodbye to hour after hour of tedious and laborious traditional pool cleaning activities that can now be joyfully converted into pool time enjoyment hours and related activities while watching this device performing its magical cleaning activities on your smiling behalf.Do you hire a pool cleaning contractor instead? Celebrate the end of their ever more expensive monthly invoices by giving them a big thank you for their previous services rendered, and perhaps a couple of Tim Hortons gift certificates while bidding them adios.Because this is a new product, average lifespan is unknown. If it lasts for 5 years, your pool cleaning cost would be approximately $400 annually. If it lasts for 10 years, congratulations, your pool cleaning costs are closer to $200 annually. The verdict:The AIPER brand Scuba X1 Pro cordless pool cleaner robot is a brand-new 2025 state-of-the-art total cleaning solution product for swimming pools. The device offers an excellent blend of performance and overall build quality. An overall product score of 5/5 is assigned accordingly.

I have now tried out three different pool cleaning robots, and this is my favorite (while also the most expensive).I love that it is cordless. My first robot had to be plugged in. While still much better than manual vacuuming, it was a little bit of a process to take it out and put it away. The charging dock is also a great feature. Just drop it on the dock and it will be ready for your next use. The one minor issue here is that you don't want to put it on the dock while wet. So there is a second step to charging. Remove from pool and put it somewhere to dry, then you have to remember to put it on the dock.I have a kidney shaped pool with a bowled bottom and the coverage seems to be good. It has a random mode for odd shaped pool and a grid pattern for rectangular. I tried both, and even though mine is irregular, I could tell that the rectangular mode is great - much better than the other cordless robot I tried. It finds the wall, backs up, turns ninety degrees, moves forward a little, then turns another 90 to go back down the next lane. Very precise, and I'm sure it will have excellent coverage. The random pattern is a little less precise, but it does seem to have some logic, and does not get stuck in loops like I have seen others do.There are two filters - one fairly coarse that is always used, and a very fine one that you can choose to use or not. Overall, this is a good system. The fine filter gets out almost anything - fine silt, dead algae, and even pollen. The coarse one is good for bulk cleanup. We just had a storm and I have a million leaves in the pool. This did a nice job cleaning those up. If I'm nitpicking, I would like an intermediate option. The coarse filter is too coarse for normal use - the storm scenario is about it. But the fine filter is very fine. It can get clogged and affect performance, but also, it is kind of a pain to clean. Takes a good amount of time with the hose to get all of the particles off of it.Overall though, I'm so happy to have this and not have to mess with vacuum hoses.

This cordless robotic pool cleaner is an amazing machine. It filters around 6600 GPH with it's dual jets. It does a great job of navigating your pool to do a thorough job. It is controlled by an app that is easy to use. It has a great filer basket that captures larger particles but also has a micro mesh filter to capture fine particles depending on your needs. It does an amazing job of cleaning the water line while the jets keep it in place. It cleans the walls, floor and waterline of your pool effortlessly. The battery lasts for a good while ensuring your pool cleaning gets completed. I really like the smart waterline parking. Simply click recall on the app and the pool cleaner will climb the wall up to the edge so you can just reach in and grab it. Overall this is a fantastic pool cleaner for your inground pool.
