May come back to give a more complete review after they get tried out by the kids we bought them for. No ice in view yet, so can't verify much about the way they do the job. They are very solid; no ankles are going to turn while wearing these. They can adjust sizes, so may be a good choice for young skaters to wear two or three years, or for having on hand for friends. Will be interesting to see how well they hold up.

These have a button towards the heal side to push and extend the sizing and its locked after each sizing is adjusted (like a click sound). Has decent padding inside so my elder one and skate smoothly. On the front side after tying the shoe lace my son complained of the pain in shin as he felt something hard but it’s protection i guess and after each use he is now good to skate in them easily. Seems nice build as the front layering provides extra protection and material seems food so feel durable so far and seems to last. My son is 9 and with the adjusting feature there is enough room to grow.

I mean, this’ll work for the season and as much as my kids grow, it’ll do. It just kind of is disappointing, the padding isn’t soft, and it’s just not easy to use. I had a hard time unbuckling the straps; I made my husband do it, and they’re cheaply made. I can’t imagine my kids having an easier time than me. They adjust, and they work, but it’s just hard to use.On top of this, the box was marked as having blue skates… it came with gray skates… they’re okay for what they’re worth, but I should’ve just gone with better quality/name brand ones for the price.

These skates arrive in a very non-descript box. Without opening, there's no way to know what's inside. Kind of disappointing if you wanted to give them as a gift where the box adds to the excitement. The instructions say to use on professional ice rinks only and not frozen lake surfaces, but product photos clearly show outdoor skating on what appears to be a lake or pond. The skates seem to be well made. They adjust for size fairly easily: the exterior with the push of a button and pulling on the skate front. The interior by removing the inner padding and adjusting the velcro for size. I've included a picture of the two skates, with the one on the left fully extended (the last photo). The ability to adjust the size allows for multi season use for growing kids. These seem like a decent introductory pair of ice skates. Unfortunately, with the lackluster packaging and subpar instructions, I find myself tempted to judge this book by it's cover. Still, with no obvious flaws and no exceptional qualities, 3 stars is probably a fair rating.
