The pool table at the local senior center takes a lot of use. The “slit and expanded” leather pockets are dry rotted and repair attempts reduced with width of some of the slit diamonds, which causes unnatural expansion of the remaining diamonds (causing still further tears).I am using leather oil to attempt to preserve the pockets, and tried another repair method to distribute the load across the slit leather diamonds. I purchased this product to line the existing leather pockets. No clue as yet as to fasten the string netting (hog rings or staples are on the top of the list). Suggestions from the Amazon community welcomed.These are well made and should last a long time.
