For the amount of time, literal years, that this internal, mini canister, filter, has been around, and on the market, I have YET to find something similar, that works as quickly, or as effectively. as this little filter. It's like a filter, wave maker (power head), and water polisher all in one. It works so effectively and so quickly, but the filters for it, because they are specialized tend to be a little more on the expensive side, especially if you constantly have the filter running and go through the internal media, as quickly as I do.I'm so glad that there is now. more options for this filter, in terms of internal media, other than just a filter floss sleeve, or plain micron filter. I love that this micron filter includes activated carbon too, so this takes multi tasking to the next level, for this filter!✅ ACTIVATED CARBON: the carbon looks to be embedded into the micron filter wall, so there is no excessive fall out or dust from the carbon. it's securely in the filter itself and works simultaneously as the micron filter works.✅ MULTI TASKING: as mentioned, with the addition of the carbon in the micron filter, it not only polishes the water, for manual filtration, but also chemically filters, as well. i love that there is more capabilities being added to the media.✅ INCLUDES TWO WASHER RINGS: everyone who has had or has this exact filter can attest to the fact that at some point, we have all lost one of these, black, washer rings. while the filter will still operate effectively without the washer ring, it just assists in keeping the center of the filter media, in place and assists in keeping the flow of water consistently through the center and the direction that it's intended to flow. i REALLY appreciate that these filters include two of these black washers, as they're the most wanted and saught after piece, when it comes to this filter!✅ WELL CONSTRUCTED + HIGHLY EFFECTIVE: the quality of these filters is amazing. i have had and used all kinds of different, substitute micron filters with this canister, and out of all of them, these feel just as high quality as the name brand ones, if not better! the rubberized ends are solid and thick and the micron walls of the filter feel thick and don't bend or flex easily like some others that i have used. i love the quality and for the price, they're definitely not a bad deal for what you get!I'm very satisfied with these filters, and am pretty excited that there are now more options and more variations for this little canister It has been one of the best filters that I have used and to this day. so many years later, I still have and works just as well as it did the day that I got it. If you have this canister you definitely need to try these put, especially if this filter is serving as your main, or ONLY filter in your aquarium. In the pics are the new wrapped individual pleated filters with flat O gaskets included. 2nd and 3rd pics are adjacent to my oem pleated filter (rt and top view). The size and fit is accurate. Only improvement is the carbon impregnated pleats that help to clear water of contaminants . When the carbon is used up , can continue to use it (load with carbon powder to achieve purification).
