I've installed and used wired security cameras before so this install isn't too daunting. Installation can be a bit of a challenge for those with little to no experience. As for the system itself, the cameras are decent quality the resolution isn't too bad at 2K, night vision works as it should, POE works well no power losses noticed, Audio quality is good as well. Overall I have to say I'm impressed with how well this system functions and it's a good value for the money if you don't mind a wired system.

I recently upgraded from an 8-camera NVR system to the new 4COVR complete package that supports up to 16 cameras, includes Ethernet cabling, comprehensive instructions, and an NVR with 4TB of storage for recording. The software is user-friendly and comparable to other DVR systems, which facilitates a smooth transition for those familiar with similar products.Positive Aspects:Video Quality: The system provides excellent video quality.Setup: Installation is straightforward and the hardware performs well.Capacity: The 16 cameras offer ample coverage for home surveillance.Flexibility: Viewing options include mobile app access, web interface, and local PCs. The NVR supports automatic detection of ONVIF-compatible cameras, allowing for integration of various camera brands.* Camera Performance: While the camera quality is good, they are limited to recording at 20 FPS and lack zoom or PTZ capabilities.Concerns:The system has notable security concerns:* The "Guard Tools 2" desktop application requires a deprecated and insecure ActiveX plugin. ActiveX controls are outdated and pose security risks.* The recommended download method for the "Guard Tools 2" software involves an insecure HTTP site, which is blocked by modern browsers for security reasons.* The NVR attempts to connect to an insecure HTTP server (107.23.112.13:80) and has made numerous attempts to reach unknown NTP time servers, raising further security concerns.* Additionally, the NVR’s MAC address is registered as private, which is unusual for a vendor’s product and suggests potential transparency issues. Conclusion:While the NVR system offers robust features and flexibility for home surveillance, the significant security vulnerabilities are concerning. The use of outdated and insecure technologies undermines the system's security, making it difficult to recommend without reservations.

I like these cameras and so far I like them better than some of the other brands out there... and I've tried a lot. These cameras and the NVR is solid and have been holding up great even amidst various weather conditions and hot heat. I'm also impressed with the video quality during nighttime, which has been one of my biggest gripes with other security cameras. These cameras work great and were easy to install and set up.

This is a good hard wired system. Cameras look good, recording quality is good at 2k resolution. Install is a bear, but only because it’s hard wired. For a budget system it’s worth looking into!
