I can say right off the bat that the threads on these are much smoother when screwing and unscrewing PL259s. They're just nicer to use that the cheapies. The solid dielectric that fills the space seems much more durable than the sleeve of teflon and air the cheapies have. This is something that matters to me for portable use. I have yet to field test them but they seem solid and nicely built.
