  • Step 1: Use the wrench to open the cover of carbon brush. Step 2: Take out the carbon brush. Step 3: Replace with the new carbon brush. Step 4: Use the wrench to lock the cover well.

I may have ordered for the wrong model but I had a hard time getting these to slide in. I had to sand down the sides to get them to slide in and move somewhat freely so that the spring pressure would hold them tight.

When your brushes arrive, rub each of the 4 lateral edges against a piece of normal printer paper before inserting. Do not remove anything from the "front" or "Back" -- just the 4 "sides". One pass per side is all it took.It will install easier. I didn't do this to my first one, and it jammed in there really good. It "seems" to be working now but I was disappointed at first that they built a product that fits too tightly.
