I was visiting my sister, and I woke up with no hot water. I diagnosed the problem with either the Pilot/Thermostat or the Gas Valve Assembly. I decided to try the Pilot/Thermostat as it was a lot less expensive. It came right away, the next day, and appeared to have everything I need to replace it. I installed it and to my chagrin, it did not fix the problem. But overall, the item fit properly, and it was easy to install. I wasn't quite the same quality as the original and since it did not fix the problem, I only rated it a 4 star. I had to replace the water heater because the other more expensive valve was not readily available, and we needed hot water!
